The Austrian Communist Party(KPO)was established on November 3,1918,and is one of the oldest Communist parties in the world.It has gone through more than 100 years of vicissitudes.Since its establishment,the Austrian Communist Party has been actively exploring a development path suitable for Austria.Since its establishment,the communist party of Austria has always adhered to marxism and communism as its guiding ideology,led the organization of the working class and the workers’ movement,and united the left-wing political parties in the country and the great strength of the workers and working people.In different historical development stages and periods,the communist party of Austria has been committed to exploring and developing the socialist road suitable for the specific national conditions of Austria,and has made unremitting efforts to safeguard the rights and struggle of the working class and realize the communist ideal in the highly developed capitalist economy of Austria.After Soviet and eastern upheavals,the world socialist movement suffered great setbacks,and the socialist cause entered a low period of development.Affected by the upheaval in the Soviet union,the development of the Austrian communist party in the country was difficult,some members of the Austrian communist party quit the party,the number of party members decreased sharply,the party team split.In the national assembly and the federal parliament of Austria,the election share of the vote is decreasing,the number of seats in the parliament is also decreasing,the Austrian communist party is marginalized.However,after entering the 21st century,the communist party of Austria,in accordance with the new changes in the international situation,seized the opportunity of development,held many party congresses in a timely manner,and revised and improved the party constitution and platform.Continuously building the party’s central organs and primary party organizations;We will strengthen the publicity of the party’s theories and thoughts in China,recruit new party members,expand the party’s ranks,and improve the quality of party members.In Austria,the communist party of Austria not only consolidated the construction of its own party,but also strengthened the unity and cooperation with the left-wing parties such as the social Democratic Party of Austria,expanded the influence of the communist party of Austria in the country,actively participated in the parliamentary elections,sought parliamentary seats and increased the political voice.Internationally,the communist party of Austria joined the European left party in May 2004,becoming one of the first member parties of the European left.At the same time,it actively participated in the European left wing party congress to enhance the influence of the Austrian communist party in the European marxist political parties.Based on the elaboration of the history of the development of the Austrian Communist Party,this paper focuses on the analysis of the international and domestic environment faced by the Austrian Communist Party in the 21st century,probes into the new exploration and policy proposition of the socialist theory of the Austrian Communist Party,explores the political practice activities of the Austrian Communist Party on the domestic and international stage in the 21st century,as well as the difficulties,challenges and development of the Austrian Communist Party Outlook.After the drastic changes in the Soviet Union and the Eastern Europe,especially in the 21st century,the exploration and development of socialism in the highly developed capitalist countries has always been a huge problem faced by the socialist movement.As a Marxist left-wing political party in Austria,the Austrian Communist Party faces some challenges and difficulties,and explores and advances in the predicament.
