An Empirical Research On The Impact Of Government Quality On The Happiness Of Entrepreneurs

Along with China’s economic transformation,innovation and entrepreneurship have become the focus of our country.At the same time,it has developed very well in the context of external environment optimization.The government has always played an important role in China’s rapid development.In the new stage,the government should continue to improve the quality of the government and create a good entrepreneurial environment for entrepreneurs to promote the development of innovation and entrepreneurship.With the rapid development of innovation and entrepreneurship in China,research in related fields has gradually increased.Entrepreneurs’ happiness has also attracted the attention of researchers.Existing related researches are mostly based on individual characteristics,or have only studied one aspect of government quality,and have not studied the comprehensive indicator of government quality.In order to better understand the relationship between government quality and entrepreneurial happiness,this thesis uses CGSS2006 data to empirically study the impact of government quality on entrepreneurial happiness.This thesis measures government quality from three aspects: government efficiency,public goods supply,and property rights protection,uses principal component analysis to assign corresponding weights to indicators,and then establishes a comprehensive indicator that comprehensively reflects government quality.Entrepreneur happiness is an ordered variable,and regression analysis is performed by constructing an ordered probit model.At the same time,the influence of government quality index on entrepreneurial happiness and the influence of government quality on entrepreneurial happiness in different regions are discussed separately.Research shows that the improvement of government quality can significantly improve the happiness of entrepreneurs,and the index of public goods supply has a significant impact on the happiness of entrepreneurs.According to the analysis by region and city level,the quality of government significantly affects the happiness of entrepreneurs in economically underdeveloped non-eastern and non-provincial capital cities,but does not significantly affect the happiness of entrepreneurs in eastern and provincial capital cities.Based on the conclusions of the study,in order to better enhance the happiness of entrepreneurs,first of all,the government needs to play the role of macro-control to ensure the stable development of the economy and provide a good external financing environment for entrepreneurs.Strengthen government support and vigorously promote the development of entrepreneurs.The government should formulate fiscal policies that are conducive to entrepreneurship and make full use of supporting policies such as financial subsidies to alleviate the financial difficulties of entrepreneurs and improve their happiness.Secondly,the government should continuously improve the government’s work efficiency,streamline processes,and improve entrepreneurial efficiency.Improve public management services,optimize external environment construction,and provide entrepreneurs with a good living environment.Finally,improve the relevant legal system,strengthen the supply of the system,and protect the legitimate rights and interests of entrepreneurs.At the same time,corresponding measures should be taken for governments in different regions.Compared with eastern and provincial capital cities,the improvement of government quality in central and western and non-provincial capital cities can better improve the happiness of entrepreneurs,so more attention should be paid to the improvement of government quality.Improving the quality of government in central and western and non-provincial capital cities can not only promote the development of regional innovation and entrepreneurship,but also reduce the regional development gap in China.This thesis starts with the comprehensive indicator of government quality and studies the impact of government quality on entrepreneurial happiness.At the same time,based on the imbalanced reality of regional development in China,a regional analysis is performed,which has better practical significance.However,this thesis may also have endogenous errors,and future research can use the instrumental variable method to solve the endogenous problem.
