Research On Digital Copyright Protection Based On Blockchain Technology

At present,one method to solve the problem of digital copyright protection is to continuously improve the corresponding laws and policies to punish copyright infringement.Another one is to use technical means to ensure the legal use of original works.However,more diversified forms and means of copyright infringement prove that the “post-legislation”and the original technical means are not enough to solve the copyright protection problems in the digital era.There are even secondary problems such as the inapplicability of laws and policies and the generation of technical barriers arise.The main problems in digital copyright protection include weak public copyright awareness,inadequate legal protection,bottlenecks in digital copyright protection technologies,and difficulties in the registration and confirmation of rights of digital works from the perspective of copyright life cycle,proving and safeguarding rights,and making profits from copyright trading.Blockchain technology brings new opportunities for digital copyright protection with its unique technical characteristics.With its decentralization,openness,non-tampering,traceability and other characteristics,it can effectively guarantee the high transparency of copyright information and has extremely high security.These characteristics have a natural fit with digital copyright protection.The use of blockchain technology can break through regional limitations to achieve real-time digital rights confirmation.Hash function and timestamp records can help prove and protect rights of digital works.Smart contracts can help increase the income of digital creators.These characteristics effectively solve the pain points of digital copyright protection.At present,domestic and foreign social institutions and enterprises have implemented digital copyright protection applications based on blockchain technology.While achieving certain results and benefits,they are also facing problems such as defects and loopholes of blockchain,immature business operation models,and conflicts with existing laws and ethics.These problems need to be resolved from the technical level,enterprise product operation level,and legal level.This paper mainly studies the status of digital copyright protection based on blockchain technology,puts forward the problems in the implementation of blockchain digital copyright protection at the current stage,and puts forward some operational suggestions based on the views of industry experts.
