| The popularity of the Internet has opened up new places for the dissemination of various social thoughts and ideologies,and the complicating thoughts and chaotic information in the cyberspace gave challenges to ideological governance.Populism,also known as populism,and network populism is its derivation in the internet.It incites public sentiment and manipulates the trend of online public opinion through public events,which can easily cause ideological confusion in the online world and thus threaten ideological work.Strengthening the study of network populism,understanding its manifestations and operating mechanisms,and analyzing its impacts on China’s mainstream ideology play an important role in mastering the discourse power of mainstream ideology,creating a positive and healthy network environment and promoting the harmonious development of society.This thesis starts with the core element of “People” to interpret the concept of populism.First of all,populism is a social trend of thought,which places extreme emphasis on the value and interests of civilians,and regards the people at the bottom of society as a source of political legitimacy.It has a tendency of extreme civilianization.Secondly,it is a political movement that sees the people at the bottom of society as the sole determinant of social change.Thirdly,it is a political means,that a means and method for social elites to mobilize the public.Network populism is a product of the combination of populism and development of the internet.It has the general nature of populism,but also has the characteristics of virtual reality,discourse hegemony,and direct participation,and new communication mechanisms such as public event fermentation and online self-media marketing.On the surface,network populism protects people’s interests and takes people as the center.Therefore,it is easy to confuse with the mainstream ideology of valuing people in China,and it is necessary to draw strict boundaries.Network populism is very popular on the Internet and it has caused a serious negative impacts on our country’s politics,economy,culture,society,etc.This thesis focuses on ideological work to discuss ways to manage online populism,in order to eliminate the negative impacts on mainstream ideology.The innovation of this thesis is the research perspective.Starting from the perspective of mainstream ideology,the thesis clarifies the difference between network populism and mainstream ideology,and tries to use ideology as a means to eliminate the adverse effects of network populism on mainstream ideology. |
