Research On The Ethnic Relations Of Villages And Towns In The United Ethnic Autonomous County

The issue of ethnic relations has always been a matter of long-term concern and handling carefully in multi-ethnic countries.Proper handling of ethnic relations is an important prerequisite for building a modern,prosperous and harmonious country.There are many ethnic groups in our country,and most ethnic groups live in the border areas of our country,which plays an important role in our national defense security and long-term security.The ethnic relations in these areas exhibit different characteristics for historical reasons,and these features in turn affect the development of modern ethnic relations.To recognize the status quo of the development of various ethnic groups and the characteristics of ethnic relations in an ethnic area,it is of great significance to the promotion of comprehensive,coordinated and sustainable development of regional economic,social and cultural undertakings,and the promotion of building a socialist harmonious society.Longzhen was located in the southeast of Chongqing and borders on Hunan,Hubei and Guizhou.There were Tujia,Miao,Han and other ethnic minorities living in the territory.It was a typical multi-ethnic settlement township with a majority minority population.We can understand the characteristics of various ethnic groups and the causes and development process of ethnic relations by sorting out documents that reflect local ethnic relations.On this basis,the questionnaire survey and interview data revealed that there was no obvious geographical boundary in the living pattern after a long and extensive contact with various ethnic groups in Longzhen.Inter-ethnic intermarriage intentions and intermarriage rates are high,language and customs tend to be consistent,and the ethnic attributes of each other were no longer considered in dating activities.It can be said that the development of ethnic relations in Longzhen has been characterized by mutual cultural integration,economic interdependence,diminished ethnic borders,and continuously expanding exchanges.These characteristics were conducive to the formation of harmonious symbiosis,equality and unity of ethnic relations in Longzhen.At the same time,the local ethnic consciousness and ethnic character had been continuously strengthened because of these factors such as tourism with ethnic characteristics and preferential policies for ethnic groups implemented by the government.The area was remote,inconvenient in transportation,lack of technology,and insufficient attention to education,and the government’s ethnic policies and historical systems were implemented ineffectively.It has caused unbalanced economic development,low comprehensive quality of ethnic cadres,and minorities "Reverse discrimination",clan divisions and other issues that affected harmonious ethnic relations.In view of the above problems,we should actively develop ethnic education,cultivate the people’s awareness of the diversity of the Chinese nation under the conditions of clear local actual conditions,and we can formulate an effective ethnic identity system under the guidance of national policies.In order to narrow the structural differences between ethnic groups,we should avoid weaknesses and actively seek industrial transformation to accelerate the economic development of ethnic regions in the new era.t the same time,we should actively respond to the call of the state to establish mutual awareness of new communities,and we can cctively create a social environment in which all ethnic groups live together and work together to make each ethnic group form an inseparable community.
