| With the improvement of the quality of life,the life expectancy of the elderly is also increasing,but the aging of the population and aging is intensifying,at the same time,the incidence of elderly people and health problems are also gradually increasing.Among cardiovascular diseases and other diseases,mental retardation is the most fatal healthy elderly.Dementia is irreversible and has a long course.Even because of the aging of the body function of the elderly,it can cause complications and other chronic diseases.Compared with other elderly people,the problems faced by the mentally retarded elderly are more complex,they will face the decline of physical function and cognitive function at the same time,so they have more urgent needs to provide life care and health care for others.In addition to the core symptoms,dementia can also induce various additional symptoms,including depression,anxiety,hallucination,delusion and other psychological symptoms,as well as behavioral symptoms such as urinary incontinence,violent words and deeds,sleep disorders and abnormal behaviors.The particularity of dementia makes the care service more difficult and professional than the general elderly.The quality of life of the mentally retarded elderly is low,so they need the care services provided by others to solve the problems in their daily life.With the progress of the disease,the difficulty of care and the pressure of care are increasing.However,due to the transformation of family structure and the weakening of family care function caused by women’s Professionalization in China,family care is facing unprecedented challenges;the role of community care is very small and the supply of pension institutions is insufficient,which will lead to the imbalance of supply and demand of care services.The number of the elderly with dementia is increasing year by year,and the demand for care services for the elderly with dementia is also increasing year by year.China also urgently needs high-level and targeted care services to alleviate the aging and aging problems.In recent years,China’s investment in pension services has been increasing,but no special attention has been paid to the mentally retarded elderly.The living conditions of the elderly with dementia are not only the problems of the elderly themselves and their families,but also closely related to social harmony.How to spend their old age safely has become a major problem in our society.It is difficult to meet the diversified needs of the elderly with dementia only relying on independent subjects.In order to ensure the provision of good care services,the government,families,institutions and society need to participate in,integrate resources,enrich care content through various channels,meet multi-level care needs,and create an equal and tolerant elderly care environment for the elderly with dementia.It is very important to build a harmonious and effective partnership between government and family,community organizations and pension institutions.In this paper,we should improve the level of knowledge and service for the elderly in China,and improve the level of knowledge and services in accordance with the actual situation of our country.Provide diversified support to caregivers:combining daily care with professional nursing to ensure that the elderly with dementia can get effective care services.When family caregivers are unable to cope with their own needs,community care will provide corresponding support;when the situation of dementia is serious and unable to take care of themselves,professional institutions will accept and provide good care for the mentally retarded elderly.Family and social caregivers are full of love,filial piety and patience to provide high-quality care services for the elderly with dementia.To meet the needs of care services for the mentally retarded elderly,it will provide a new exploration road for the care of the mentally retarded elderly in China.So that the old people with dementia can spend their old age happily. |
