A Study Of Russian Conservatism During The Reign Of Alexander Ⅰ

As a political school,Russian conservatism was formed in the early 19 th century.During the reign of Alexander I,as a response to the long-standing phenomenon in the upper class of Russia--adoration of France and liberal reforms,Russian conservative thinkers published a series of works expressing their views on important socio-political issues such as the autocratic system,religious policies and Russian nationality.At the same time,they also actively participated in national political activities,which had an important impact on the development of Russian society at that time,and also laid the tone for the development of Russian conservatism afterwards.This paper takes the background and development of Russian conservatism during the reign of Alexander I and the political activities and ideological views of the conservatives as the main research objectives.This article is divided into three parts: introduction,main text and conclusion.The main text includes chapters 2 to 5.The first part is the introduction of the first chapter,which mainly introduces the significance of the topic,the research status at home and abroad,research methods and writing ideas,as well as innovations and deficiencies.The second part is the main body,including chapters 2 to 5.Chapter 2 mainly introduces the background of the emergence of Russian conservatism,including the historical origin and the time background;Chapter 3 summarizes the formation and development of Russian conservatism during Alexander I;Chapter 4 discusses the political activities of conservatives and analyzes its influence on Russian society at that time;Chapter 5 summarizes the conservatives’ ideological views on political,religion,economic and cultural development issues.The third part is the conclusion,the conclusion points out Russian conservatism was finally formed as a political school during Alexander I.The political activities and ideological views of the conservatives had an important influence on Russian society at that time,and also made ideological and theoretical preparations for the development of Russian conservatism in the future.
