| Political discourse,as a practical expression of political subjects’ realization of political purposes,is a political act that revolves around political power,and has the functions of disseminating political information,condensing political power,and consolidating political identity.As a political discourse,the Communist Party ’s anti-Japanese commemorative discourse has entered modern times in the transition,not only presenting the history of the Anti-Japanese War,but also playing an important role in the process of building people’s historical memory and strengthening the legitimacy of the regime.Political power,as a kind of force formed by people in the process of choosing to realize themselves and maintain their own interests by means of power contrast and power restriction,is accompanied by political discourse.Political power manipulates and controls political discourse.Political discourse is a necessary means to realize political power.In a sense,political discourse itself is a kind of power.This article aims to clarify the political power behind the discourse by analyzing the commemorative discourses of the Anti-Japanese War in different periods.First,relying on the Xinhua Daily from 1938 to 1946,the Liberation Daily from 1941 to 1946,and the texts of the anti-Japanese war commemorations in the People’s Daily from 1946 to 2020 investigate and analyze the subject,audience,content,characteristics,and communication forms of the Communist texts of the Anti-Japanese War in various historical periods from 1938 to the present.Secondly,from the relationship between political discourse and political power,clarify how the ideologies of power subjects such as patriotism,people’s subjectivism,and party leadership,and how ideological changes in different periods dominate the theme of the memorial discourse in the War of Resistance;how the actual interests of the power subjects determine the choice of the anti-Japanese commemorative discourse;how the external environment of the power subjects,especially international factors,affect the presentation of the anti-Japanese commemorative discourse.Finally,author points out that the anti-Japanese commemorative discourse is facing the challenges of the tension between the object rights of the discourse and the power of the discourse subject,the loss of anti-Japanese memory,and the impact of post-modern thoughts. |
