A Comparative Study Of Commemorative Discourses Of The Kmt-Cpc In The Perspective Of Political Identity(1931-1949)

Political identity is the recognition of political practice activities and their achievements by members of the community and their sense of belonging to the emotions and consciousness generated in political life.Political identity is an important basis for gaining political legitimacy,cohesively mobilizing social forces,and promoting political stability.Discourse is one of the important ways to construct political identity,and discourse construction is the deep cohesive force that maintains the political community.On the basis of combing the relationship between political identity and discourse theory,this paper analyzes the media of the Liberation Daily,the Central Daily News and the Xinhua Daily as the narrative text carrier during the Anti-Japanese War.How to construct political identity through commemorative discourse Political mobilization.After the September 18 th Incident,the Kuomintang and the Communist Party held commemorative events every time the "July 7","August 13","September 18" and other anti-war memorial days came,and their main military and political figures will also publish commemorative articles.The two newspapers also reported a large number of activities in the community to commemorate the "September 18" and other anti-Japanese war activities and comment.In these discourse narratives,there are consistency and difference.By exposing the Japanese atrocities,analyzing the situation of the war of resistance,summing up the experience of the war of resistance,and demonstrating the image of unity,the Kuomintang and the Communist Party expressed the political demands for safeguarding national sovereignty and the political consensus for mobilizing the people to resist the war.At the same time,however,the two parties have different opinions on the political construction goals,the attitudes of the people and the political status at home and abroad.Among these differences,the KMT's discourse focused more on maintaining the authority of leaders and calling for international assistance.The Communist Party ' s discourse narratives focused more on mobilizing the power of ordinary people and demonstrating their own achievements to shape the image of the war.Finally,the author summarizes the positive role of the commemorative discourses of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party during the Anti-Japanese War in enhancing confidence in the war of resistance,realizing political mobilization,and consolidating the strength of the war of resistance.At the same time,based on the comparison between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,the author puts forward the significance of the narrative of the commemoration of the war of resistance against the war,with a view to Inspired.
