| Under the COVID-19,public’s information collection and disclosure become important means of pandemic prevention and control. However, personal privacy information leakage incidents occur frequently, causing public privacy concern. The risk of privacy leakage will reduce the public’s willingness to provide information in the process of information collection and information disclosure, cause adverse consequences such as information refusal, wrong filling and concealment, affect the accurate prevention and control of the pandemic. However,in the process of information disclosure and information collection, the factors of the public’s privacy perception and the mechanism of influence on the public’s willingness to provide information are not clear, and how the public make privacy decisions is also lack of relevant theories to explain. Therefore, under the pandemic situation, how to weaken or avoid the privacy concern of the public and improve willingness to provide information has become an important problem to be solved. The research on the influence factors of the public’s willingness to provide personal privacy information also has its theoretical and practical significance.Based on the self-classification theory and privacy calculus theory, this study analyzes the cause of public privacy concern in the pandemic situation and the behavior mechanism that affects the willingness to provide information. This paper constructs a model of the influence factors of public information disclosure intention,in order to explain the privacy decision-making process and the influence mechanism of public information disclosure intention. This paper considers two processes that affect public privacy decision-making: the process of information disclosure and information collection, and explains the different privacy decision-making tendencies in different processes through self-classification theory. At the same time, this paper further studies the privacy perception influence factors on public’s different self-classified privacy calculus in the processes of information disclosure and information collection. In this paper,527 valid questionnaires were collected.Smartpls 3.0software is used for data analysis to verify theoretical model. The results show that the privacy perception factors in the processes of information disclosure and information collection significantly affect the public’s privacy concern of different self-classification;the privacy concern and perceived benefit in different processes significantly affect the public’s willingness to provide information. This research has certain theoretical contribution and practical significance. This study takes the public under the pandemic situation as the research object,as a new context of providing personal privacy information, analyzes the public’s perceived privacy factors in different processes, explores the mechanism of public’s different self-classified privacy calculus, expands the existing understanding of the mechanism of influencing the willingness to provide personal privacy information, and provides a theoretical basis for improving the public’s willingness to provide information. At the same time, the research conclusions provide practical suggestions for the government and relevant departments to formulate privacy protection systems, improve information management ability, and provide theoretical guidance and countermeasures to ensure the public that actively participate in the pandemic prevention and control and standardize the staff’s privacy protection behavior. |
