Craftsman Spirit,Technological Innovation Capability And High-quality Development Of Manufacturing Industry

Chinese economy has shifted from high-speed growth to high-quality development,and paying attention to the improvement of quality is the direction of Chinese current and future economic development.Manufacturing industry is the foundation of the national economy,which has important supporting effect in the high-quality development of Chinese economy.At present,Chinese manufacturing industry is largescale,perfect system,export and domestic demand continue to improve,has obvious development advantages and great development potential.However,there are still problems such as low independent innovation capability,limited key core technologies,and low brand quality.Therefore,in the academic and practical circles,promoting the high-quality development of manufacturing industry has become an increasingly important topic.In recent years,craftsman spirit has increasingly become the key to improve the core competitiveness of manufacturing industry.However,the research on how craftsman spirit affects the high-quality development of manufacturing industry is relatively scarce,and its internal mechanism needs more empirical research.Based on the existing research,the paper defines the connotation of craftsman spirit,technological innovation capability and high-quality development of manufacturing industry,and constructs corresponding evaluation index system.Taking 31 provincial regions in Chinese mainland from 2007 to 2019 as samples.First of all,based on the improved entropy method,the paper measures craftsman spirit,technological innovation capability,and high-quality development level of manufacturing industry,and analyzes the differences among the four regions of the East,the Middle,the West,and the Northeast.Secondly,the paper theoretically analyzes the influencing mechanism of craftsman spirit,technological innovation ability and high-quality development of manufacturing industry,and also proposes research hypotheses.Finally,based on the time and individual effects,the paper discusses the influence of craftsman spirit on the high-quality development of manufacturing industry from the national and HDI sub-regional samples,the mediating role of technological innovation capability between craftsman spirit and highquality development of manufacturing industry,and the interaction between craftsman spirit and technological innovation capability on the high-quality development of manufacturing industry,and carries out robustness test.The study finds that:(1)During the investigation period,the general scores of craftsman spirit,technological innovation capability and highquality development of manufacturing industry in 31 provincial-level regions in China have been improved,but the regional gap still exists;(2)The craftsman spirit,the interaction between craftsman spirit and technological innovation capability of manufacturing industry in the national sample has a significant role in promoting the high-quality development,but the impact is different in different HDI regions;(3)The technological innovation capability of national regions and regions with HDI higher than the national average level has a complete mediating effect between craftsman spirit and high-quality development of manufacturing industry.Based on the research conclusions,the paper presents concrete policy recommendations from the aspects of promoting craftsman spirit,technological innovation capability to increase the high-quality development of manufacturing industry and narrowing the regional gap.
