Research On News Narration Of Flood Reports In Mainstream Media From The Perspective Of Ceremony

Flood has been one of the most frequent natural disasters in China since ancient times,which has a huge impact on social order and people’s psychology and is not conducive to social stability and development.From ancient times to the present,when floods occur,people will use the power of ritual to realize the correction and maintenance of real life.At present,the flood news report of People’s Daily is not only a process of information transmission,but also a ritual activity in which the narrative text is understood and shared.Therefore,what kind of information the mainstream media convey in the report and how to establish the ritual effect through narrative techniques should be paid attention to and explored.The author has made a diachronic analysis of relevant flood news reports of People’s Daily since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,which is divided into three stages: from1949 to the reform and opening up,from the reform and opening up to 1998,and from the beginning of the new century.Specifically,the author has analyzed relevant report texts from the perspectives of narrative theme,narrative perspective,narrative subject and narrative structure.Found under the background of the history of social change,the ceremony as a show and construction process of authority,in the play the social function of practitioners from power to power supervisors to power change of the breakthrough,and ritual in the flood disaster news reports exist and to use,made from the disaster news narrative on the narrative to collective narration to the changes of the narrative.From the point of view of synchronic,in the process of historical change,People’s Daily’s flood news reporting and narration had“ritual” commonality,that is,it paid more attention to the ceremony rather than the event itself,the binary opposition between light and darkness,and the media itself became the repeated appearance of ritual and symbolic symbols.In disaster environment,the People’s Daily through the symbolic narrative text rendering,mass polymerization in a sense the idea of sharing in the world,in order to gain some or common feelings of grief and joy,dilute the disaster’s grief and fear,to strengthen the awareness of community,will change the national cohesion formed in the disaster to social cohesion,better realize its function to society.However,the power of the mainstream media in the hands of the event is reported or not to be in the process of the report and the power of the interpretation,has its own power and boundaries,so we should not only see the flood news reports reflect the social value,in the process of ritualized power relations and rich symbolic significance,is to recognize the ceremony under the limitations that exist in the mainstream media news reports the floods,taking history as a mirror,provide a reference for flood disaster news report improve and perfect.
