A Study Of Community Thoughts In The German Ideology

The German Ideology is an important text with milestone significance in the process of the formation of Marxist theory.As the first classic work systematically expounding historical materialism,it contains rich community thoughts of Marx and Engels.This paper studies Marx and Engels’ community thoughts in The German Ideology from the perspective of subjective and objective by using the method called qualitative analysis in text essence and word frequency statistical analysis.When Marx and Engels wrote The German Ideology,the social productive forces had been greatly developed under the capitalist production system,but at the same time,they were faced with the situation that the proletariat was gradually growing under the oppression of the bourgeoisie,and the oppressed proletariat strongly hoped to be freed from the unreal community.Marx and Engels criticized and inherited much thoughts from predecessors,and combined with the thinking of reality,formed the community thought.Through the word frequency analysis and qualitative analysis of the word "community" in The German Ideology,it is found that the community has two properties,one is the authenticity embodied on the basis of real common interests and voluntary union,the other is the truth embodied on the inevitable union of free individuals.A real community must have three elements at the same time: a realistic individual composition,a common interest base,and voluntary association among individuals;The real community must be the inevitable union of free individuals voluntarily on the basis of common interests.Through the analysis of word frequency,it is found that the logical base of the thought of community in The German Ideology is the realistic individual in history,the logical main line is the criticism of the illusory community,and the main logical theme is to return to the essence of human beings and realize the liberation of human beings.The thought of community in The German Ideology provides a theoretical basis for solving many problems faced by human beings in the process of globalization,and has rich contemporary value.
