Hua Gang Promoted The Sinicization Of Marxism（1919-1949）

Hua Gang is a proletarian revolutionist and Marxist historian.During the New Democratic Revolution,Hua Gang made an important contribution to promoting the Sinicization of Marxism by participating in revolutionary practice activities and interpreting Marxist theory.This paper studies the practice,content,characteristics and evaluation of Hua Gang’s promotion of the Sinicization of Marxism,in order to provide some reference for the current academic research on Hua Gang.Combining with the historical context of Modern Chinese society,this paper analyzes the social background of Hua Gang’s promotion of Sinicization of Marxism from 1919 to 1949.The initial dissemination of Marxism in Zhejiang province provided ideological resources for Hua Gang to contact and understand Marxism.The development of Marxist historiography in the early 20 th century provided a historical field for Hua Gang’s theoretical research.Under the guidance of early Marxists,Hua Gang firmly believed in revolution.In addition to the influence of objective conditions,During his study in Quzhou,Hua Gang cultivated his revolutionary and progressive thoughts and studied in No.4 Middle School,which improved the level of Marxist theory and provided academic accumulation for his theoretical research.Hua Gang’s Sinicization of Marxism has experienced a development stage from preliminary exploration,comprehensive promotion to innovative application.In practice,Hua Gang mainly promoted the Sinicization of Marxism by participating in the anti-imperialist patriotic movement,founding party newspapers and periodicals,translating Marxist classics and creating Marxist historical works.In terms of the main contents of Hua Gang’s promotion of the Sinicization of Marxism,he discussed the law of unity of opposites,the view of mass history,surplus value theory and the basic characteristics of communist society from three aspects of Marxist philosophy,Marxist political economy and scientific socialism.From the four aspects of the new democratic political thought,the new democratic economic thought,the new democratic cultural thought and the new democratic military thought,the author analyzed the revolutionary road of the new democracy,the land reform,the cultural program of the new democracy and the anti-Japanese national united front.The main characteristics of Hua Gang’s promotion of the Sinicization of Marxism include the study of Chinese revolution and social reality with emphasis on history,the exploration of Marxist theory in revolutionary work and the adoption of various ways to promote the Sinicization of Marxism.By promoting the Sinicization of Marxism,Hua Gang made important contributions to the development of the Sinicization of Marxist discourse,the study of Marxist classics,and the theoretical innovation of Marxist historiography.However,as a result of the limitation of objective conditions,there are also some limitations in the early discussion of Marxist historiography theory which are not mature enough and the dissemination of works is restricted by specific historical conditions.
