Since the opening and reform,more and more female leaders achieve the leadership role.However,female senior management still hold minority positions in enterprise management.The female leaders are currently facing various pressures and challenges in forming their leader character,but the softness and tenacity of female management is quite helpful for building up the leadership identity of female leaders.Private enterprises are deeply influenced by Chinese traditional culture of family.Usually,the male family members take the main leadership roles,while the female family members general find themselves lack of significant power.HX is a private enterprise.During the expansion of HX,it has witnessed the issues of ruling by man,random decision making and internal control.Its founding person brought in Zhang Yi(a female leader)to act as its CEO in high profile to deal with the current issues faced by HX internally and externally,which works positively against the prejudice to female leaders.This essay studies Zhang Yi’s management style and her leadership as a female leader by way of having an interview with Zhang Yi,her subordinates and the partners of HX.Zhang Yi has successfully achieved the positive organizational reform of HX and reinforced the management and control by HX of its core business.
