Study On Interactive Ritual Of Bullet Screen Of Sports Events Videos

2019 is the 25 th anniversary of China’s full-featured Internet access.In today’s society,people interact frequently in the Internet environment,including daily We Chat talking,online shopping,watching video programs,sending bullet comments,and so on.During the interactions,people completed interaction rituals,and these online interaction rituals also combined into micro-contexts which constitute the macro-social structure.Sports event videos are a typical application scenario for bullet screen.The broadcast of sports videos gives sports enthusiasts the opportunity to watch sports events online,and the "bullet screen" provides the possibility of interaction between viewers.This article starts from Collins’ theory of interactive rituals,studies the interactive behavior of users sending bullet screen comments when watching sports events,and conducts an in-depth analysis of the interactive ritual.On the one hand,this article uses content analysis to extract and study the interaction behavior of spectators using bullet screen,and to extract and classify the behaviors including sending,like and mutual responses from nearly 20,000 comments.Summarize what kind of content the viewers would like to post,and under what circumstances the viewers will actively interact.On the other hand,this article uses the in-depth interview method and the interactive ritual theory to theoretically analyze the bullet screen interactive ritual when watching sports events videos,confirms the applicability of the theory in the context of watching sports events,and explores what role gaining emotional energy,the motivation of interactive rituals,is playing in the scenario of watching sports events videos.This article starts from a micro perspective and delves into the watching process of sports events.Using quantitative and qualitative methods,it analyzes the audience ’s interaction process and results when using bullet screen.The constituent elements of the "interactive ritual" also produced corresponding interactive results.In sending the comments and interacting with other audiences,the users of the bullet screen gained "emotional energy." Finally,this article combined with interviews,puts forward suggestions for improving the bullet screen function of the online video platform for playing sports events.
