Investigation And Analysis Of Lithuanian Youth Basketball Coaches’ Coaching Philosophy

With the rapid development of basketball around the world,China’s basketball has entered a new stage.Yao Ming,the chairman of the Basketball Association,has repeatedly mentioned that basketball should start from dolls.If the youth basketball is strong,then the Chinese basketball will be strong.The successful experience of the world’s basketball powers tells us that the coach’s coaching philosophy plays an important role in the development of young players.As a small population country in Eastern Europe,Lithuania is far inferior to China in terms of national comprehensive strength and sports comprehensive strength,but Lithuanian National Men’s basketball team has always been a strong force in the world.Since the country became independent in 1990,Lithuania has won three European Championships and three second places,Third place in three Olympic Games,the Third place in the world championships,which is inseparable from the unique coaching philosophy of the coaches.During my study in Lithuanian Sports University,I went to the local basketball school for field investigation and experienced the implementation process of Lithuanian youth basketball coach’s coaching philosophy.In this paper,the methods of literature,questionnaires,interviews,field investigation and mathematical statistics are used to analyzes the coaching philosophy of Lithuanian youth basketball coaches from four aspects: the philosophy of selection,the philosophy of training,the philosophy of competition and the philosophy of management,and analyzes the reasons for the formation of the coaching philosophy,so as to provide theoretical reference for the transformation and renewal of the coaching philosophy of Chinese youth basketball coaches,in order to help improving our youth basketball coaches coaching philosophy.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Lithuanian youth basketball coaches have high overall quality.The male proportion is higher,showing the younger trend;the level of specialization is high;the high-level professional league experience;the coaching career is relatively stable;high level of education.(2)In terms of selection,Lithuanian coaches prefer the selection method combined with indexes.In terms of relevant factors of selection,health conditions and technical skills are the most important.In terms of physical fitness,coordination,agility and speed are the most important.In terms of physical development,limb length is more important.Charactor,motivation and mental quality are also important aspects for youth selection.In addition,the coaches is not locate the player’s position too early.(3)In terms of training,Lithuanian coaches attach importance to the periodicity and scientificity of youth training,and arrange the training contents and plans in strict accordance with the physiological and psychological characteristics and rules.Priority in technical training,and the technical training is not divorced from the actual situation of the competition,and pays attention to the details and strives for perfection;the tactical awareness training is gradual and step-by-step to cultivate the good team basketball awareness of the youth;the use of sensitive period to comprehensively and scientifically develop the physical quality and pay attention to the effective combination with the technical tactics;the mental training is often contained in the technical tactics.(4)In terms of competition,the full scouting work of the Lithuanian coaches before the game and the team meeting after the game reflect its meticulous and meticulously planned game philosophy.In defense,they emphasizes active confrontation and be aggressive.In attack,it is based on 1 on 1 attack and cultivate good awareness of give and go,backdoor cut,backdoor,drive and kick.(5)In management,Lithuanian youth basketball coaches adhere to the management philosophy of people-oriented,leading by example and strict management style.(6)The internal factors of the formation of Lithuanian Youth Basketball Coaches’ coaching philosophy are their good coaching motivation,education experience and sports experience,and the external factors are the influence of Lithuanian basketball culture,a sound training system for coaches and a perfect youth competition system.
