Research On The Theoretical Development Of Adapted Physical Activity Discipline

This study explores the development of international theoretical research on adaptive sports disciplines from 1984 to 2019,understands the hot spots and key points in the progress of theoretical research on adaptive sports disciplines,sorts out the context of theoretical development of adaptive sports disciplines,summarizes international experience and discusses the trend of theoretical research on adaptive sports disciplines,with the aim of providing valuable suggestions for the future development of adaptive sports disciplines in China and accelerating the development of adaptive sports disciplines in China.Taking the articles published in the journal "Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly" recognized by the International Association of Adaptive Sports as the research object,this paper uses the methods of Using the research method of knowledge map and Cite Space software developed by Professor Chen Chaomei,this paper makes exploration and analysis on drawing knowledge map.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)In terms of research types,there is not much difference in the number of interpretive approach,descriptive research and exploratory research,with early exploratory articles mainly,mid-term explanatory articles mainly,and the number of late exploratory articles rising again,which is currently on an upward trend;(2)Qualitative analysis is the main research method,followed by a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods,of which regression analysis,documentation and investigation are the most frequently used methods;(3)Multiple samples,visual impairment and autism are currently hot research subjects;(4)On the team,the core high-yield researchers include C Sherrill,Greg Reid and Donna L Goodwin,but the cooperation between the core high-yield researchers is less,and the cooperation between the academic team and the team is less;(5)In the institutions of researchers,University of Alberta in Canada,Oregon State University in the United States and Texas Women’s University in the United States are the main ones.Moreover,the distribution of researchers’ nationalities is uneven,with the number of articles published mainly in America and Europe and less in other continents;(6)In terms of research topics,the current hot topics in this field focus on five aspects: motor performance,physical activity,children’s behavior,intervention and health problems.The research suggestions are as follows: in future research,scholars should be encouraged to try exploratory research and strengthen academic exchanges with the international community;Intervention and health are currently potential hot topics in research and should be paid attention to.Combining the high-frequency research objects and research methods,the author makes a full and in-depth exploration on the theoretical research of adapting to sports discipline.In the research team of scholars,research institutions and higher education,we should strengthen the theoretical innovation of adapting to the research of sports disciplines in China,providing an opportunity for the theoretical development of adapting to sports disciplines in China to be in line with international standards.
