Post-activation Potentiation(PAP)is a condition in which the neuromuscular system is highly excited for a short period of time after a form of exercise,and then increases its explosive power.It is important to note that the stimulation must be biomechanically similar to the sport,such as a squat lift reverse jump,whereas a squat does not improve throwing performance.The most commonly used anti-group movements to induce PAP include bench press and squat,while the biggest muscle groups used in breaststroke short-distance sprints are triceps,biceps femoris,pectoralis major and gluteus major,which are exactly the same as those used to partially induce PAP.In addition,PAP is currently used more in land running and jumping sports,but less in water sports.Therefore,this paper mainly studies whether the introduction of PAP stimulation in the warm-up stage of 50 m breaststroke training can improve the athletes’ performance.Nowadays,there are relatively few researches on PAP at home and abroad,and there are different opinions.For example,there are three known corollaries for the physiological mechanism of post-activation effect enhancement.Both large load and medium load studies showed that PAP could be induced.The intervals ranged from 1 minute to 12 minutes,but the majority of the studies showed that the enhancement was most pronounced in subjects who spent 6 to8 minutes.The present study showed that PAP on human upper limb and lower limb and the whole body muscle stimulation significantly enhance contraction,a breaststroke athletes explosive leg and upper limbs explosive are especially important,all the experiment according to the size of muscles to do work of breaststroke swimming when selecting experimental stimulus action for the squat,lie the push and pull by three actions.After the high-load stimulation(80%-90%1RM),after the small-weight warm-up,each action was performed once,and then three times,the interval time was 1 minute,and the test was conducted after the window period of the posttest period was 6-8 minutes.Research objects and methods: 12 subjects from Beijing sport university with the same level of sports swimming were selected,and then divided into PAP group and routine group for experiment after the pre-test of 50 m breaststroke.Under the condition of the same training amount,the PAP group conducted experiments of PAP high-load stimulation three times a week,while the regular group performed routine warm-up activities before each training.After 6 weeks,under the condition of heart rate monitoring,the PAP group and the regular group were tested again for the50-meter breaststroke score,and the data were sorted out for in-depth analysis and discussion.Research results show that after 6 weeks,PAP group 83.3% of the 50 m breaststroke sports athletes have improved significantly,and PAP group average score increased 0.94 seconds,compared to previous measuring average increase rate of2.4%,the PAP group before and after the results through statistical analysis to calculate the P < 0.05,suggesting that test scores have significant difference before and after.The average performance of the regular group after the normal warm-up and training was only 0.23 seconds,with an improvement rate of 0.6%.After statistical analysis,P > was 0.05,which showed no significant difference.After activation enhancement can effectively improve the result of 50 m breaststroke;For PAP performance of the subjects were analyzed,and the weak subjects maximum weight,and low level of training that PAP stimulation is affected by the movement level,for the low level of training of athletes,the enhanced effect of activated a suppressed,the performance of such a player won’t appear,it is likely to decline.Conclusion: after long-term stimulation,the results of 50 m breaststroke were significantly improved after PAP stimulation.The stimulation of PAP should be consistent with the muscle groups of sports events.Only the stimulation of muscle groups related to sports events can improve athletes’ performance and performance.For multi-muscle groups to participate in the movement of the body,single stimulation may not achieve the effect,can adopt multi-muscle group stimulation resistance training to induce;PAP stimulation is not suitable for all athletes,some athletes in the long-term stimulation,but also sports performance decline.Athletes with low levels of athletic training may not improve as well.
