A Study On The Application Of Statistical Methods For The Master’s Degree In Track And Field Of Beijing Sport University

Sports statistics as a very important applied discipline,whether in the writing of papers or in scientific research activities,its status is crucial.This paper makes a systematic study on the application of statistical methods in the thesis of the Master of Athletics Studies in 2000-2019 of Beijing Sport University,analyzes the characteristics and problems of the application of statistical methods in the writing of the thesis,and puts forward some suggestions to improve the application of the statistical method of the Master of Athletics Direction of Beijing Sport University.This paper uses literature method,expert interview method,questionnaire method,case analysis method,mathematical statistics method to carry on the research.The following conclusions are drawn:1.The master’s theses of track and field in Beijing Sport University can basically conduct research design,data collection,sorting and analysis through statistical methods,so as to make the research more scientific and credible,but there are a few cases of misuse.The master’s theses of track and field in Beijing sport university can basically conduct research design,data collection,sorting and analysis through statistical methods,so as to make the research more scientific and credible,but there are a few cases of misuse.2.Beijing Sport University track and field direction master degree thesis use the most statistical sampling method is random sampling,in the statistical collation process can use EXCEL、SPSS and other statistical software to collate the collected data,and in the form of statistical charts reflected in the paper,the application of the most frequent statistical analysis method is hypothesis testing,in line with the track and field discipline in scientific research needs.3.The main misuse of the thesis is to choose the wrong statistical method and explain the improper statistical index with professional knowledge.Among them,there are many misuses in the process of statistical analysis,such as the verification of applicable conditions,the selection of specific methods and the explanation of statistical index results.4.The self-evaluation of the understanding and application of statistical principles and methods is carried out by the graduate students,and the evaluation of the level of understanding of statistical analysis is the lowest,which is consistent with the finding that the process of statistical analysis is most misused in the thesis.When the graduate students encounter statistical problems,96.43% of the students choose to learn from similar papers,the highest frequency;other ways to solve the problem are self-study,communication with students and teachers.In response to the findings,the following recommendations are made:1.Attach importance to the role of statistical methods in scientific research.Cultivate statistical thinking,pay attention to statistical principles and basic concepts,and avoid random application of statistical methods.Attach importance to the role of statistical methods in scientific research.Cultivate statistical thinking,pay attention to statistical principles and basic concepts,and avoid random application of statistical methods.2.Attach importance to the scientific research activities of other sports researchers and how to apply statistical methods in the scientific research process to improve their comprehensive professional knowledge and statistical methods.Attach importance to the scientific research activities of other sports researchers and how to apply statistical methods in the scientific research process to improve their comprehensive professional knowledge and statistical methods.3.Pay attention to other sports research workers about the application of statistical methods errors,from which to learn to master the commonly used statistical methods.Learn from the mistakes of others and avoid most of the possible misuses.Pay attention to other sports research workers about the application of statistical methods errors,from which to learn to master the commonly used statistical methods.Learn from the mistakes of others and avoid most of the possible misuses.
