Research On The Application Of Three-point Under The Background Of "small Ball Time"

With the development of basketball and the continuous change of basketball rules,when the basic skills of the players have basically reached the peak,ways to match the team reasonably to win the game has become the focus of many coaches.On this basis,the small ball came into being.When it comes to the small ball,we have to mention the three-point technique on which it depends.Based on the application of three-point in the time of small ball,this paper selects three small ball teams(Warriors,Rockets and Celtics)with outstanding performance in recent years,and takes the three-point index as the starting point.Because the Rockets and Celtics have not reached the finals in recent years,this paper selects all the game videos of the Rockets and Celtics in the 2016-2019 three seasons NBA playoffs,the number of specific games are 39 for Rockets and 46 for Celtics,while the Warriors select 15 finals videos in total in these three seasons for analysis,and interpret them from the three-point indicators(shooting time,players and positions)of these three teams,in-depth analysis of the three-point characteristics of these three small ball playing teams.This paper use many research methods,such as literature and data Statistics and video analysis,hoping to provide suggestions and references for the future training and competition of Chinese men’s basketball team.the research results are as follows:1.Under the background of "small ball time",three-point is the most efficient scoring method,which is reflected in the high proportion of three-point shot and excellent shooting percentage;many players choose to take the three-point shot,it is a field average of about 9 people;the highest proportion of three-point shot is catch and shoot.2.Under the background of "small ball time",most of the players in the inside position are the forwards,which are more flexible and comprehensive than the traditional center;and they have a stable three-point projection ability.In the game,the attack mode is mainly to pick up and remove the ball and make the three-point shot,which has become the landmark playing method of the inside players in the "small ball time".3.Under the background of "small ball time",players move not only quickly,but also have the ability to shoot outside.These teams pursue high-speed attack and defense conversion.When the opponent’s defense is not stable,these teams seek the opportunities of three-point shot.4.Under the background of "small ball time",the number and scoring efficiency of open three-point are higher than those with defensive interference.Players are more inclined to seek free three-point shot through tacit team cooperation.5.Under the background of "small ball time",the use of three-point has the following characteristics: three-point has become the most efficient scoring method in basketball games;players who play inside and outside have become an important choice for three-point shot;high-speed conversion has become the soil for three-point shot;open three-point is an ideal opportunity form in team tactics.
