| With the development of international competitiveness in the 21 st century,STEM education is considered as a way to cultivate innovative talents.The problem-solving ability,one of the core competence values of STEM education,is the higher-order thinking ability of school development in the 21 st century.The Core Literacy for Chinese Student Development puts emphasis on the cultivation of students’ problem-solving abilities.STEM interdisciplinary education emphasizes the use of multidisciplinary research methods to observe problems,investigate problems,and analyze problems,and aim to cultivate students’ ability to solve practical problems.Aiming at the current situation of STEM project learning for students’ problem solving ability development,this research,which adopts STEM project learning method,experimental research method,survey method and interview method,is based on the two major learning theories of constructivism and learning by doing,and classroom observation tables and project evaluation form is used as a process evaluation of the student’s problem solving ability,and the scale and work evaluation form are used as the result evaluation of the student’s problem solving ability.In this study,the fifth grade students in a primary school were divided into experimental group and control group.Among them,the experimental group adopted the STEM project learning method,and the control group adopted the traditional learning method.After the experiment,researcher collects the data and analyzes it,and finally gets the experimental results.After experimental and statistical tests,this study draws the following conclusions:(1)STEM project learning can improve students ’learning attitude;(2)STEM project learning can improve students’ external learning motivation;(3)STEM project Learning improves students’ problem-solving abilities. |
