Problems And Suggestions On The Implementation Of Educational Punishment For Teachers In Secondary Vocational Schools

Educational punishment is an important means for teachers to manage students’ education,and the rational use of it is helpful to ensure the normal and smooth development of education and teaching.However,some teachers in secondary vocational schools dare not punish students who violate the rules and discipline,and indulge students’ misconduct,resulting in the problem of "not using" the educational punishment.Others punish the students with improper punishment methods and intensity,and damage students’ physical and mental health,resulting in the problem of "abuse" of educational punishment.These two problems have become the difficult problems of student management in secondary vocational schools.This paper takes some teachers and students of two secondary vocational schools in Guangzhou as the object of investigation by means of empirical investigation,and obtains the first-hand data through the research methods of questionnaire survey,interview and observation.First of all,through the design and preparation of the questionnaire on the current situation of the implementation of education and punishment by teachers in secondary vocational schools(teacher volume,student volume),the questionnaire survey is carried out to understand the current situation of the implementation of education and punishment by teachers in secondary vocational schools from various aspects,and in combination with the author’s interviews with relevant teachers and students in the process of work,further verify the results of the survey.Then,it sums up five main problems in the process of implementing educational punishment: teachers and students can’t fully understand the concept of educational punishment;some teachers do not act on punishment and indulge students’ misconduct;teachers implement educational punishment at will,which is affected by emotions;teachers implement punishment improperly,which results in corporal punishment;the effect of educational punishment is not good.On this basis,this paper makes a deep perspective on the implementation of educational punishment for secondary vocational school teachers,analyzes the causes of the problems from the aspects of national legislation,school security,teachers’ implementation,parents and social cognition,and puts forward suggestions on how to reasonably and effectively implement educational punishment for secondary vocational school teachers.
