The new round of basic education curriculum reform emphasizes the main role of students in the process of teaching.Among them,scaffolding teaching is deeply loved by teachers and students,because it can provide students with learning support in the classroom.In the process of learning,students continuously pass through the "zone of proximal development" through the scaffold provided by teachers,and thus complete the learning tasks from "current development level" to "potential development level".The new curriculum reform advocates emphasizing the development of students’ core quality of subjects.Mathematics,as an important part of basic education,is increasingly favored by educators.Compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards(2011 edition)(hereinafter referred to as the " standard "),attach importance to developing the students’ number sense,symbol consciousness,geometry,space concept model,data analysis,operation ability,thinking and reasoning ability.Operation ability is one of elementary school students’ basic mathematical ability,which accounts for a large proportion in primary school.In primary school,the mathematical law of operation is often difficult to understand because of its abstract formula,and it has become a headache for students,students’ operation ability is also affected by this.Scaffolding teaching can help students break through the zone of proximal development,so as to support students to complete the learning objectives of arithmetic lesson.Through reading and sorting literature,the author summarizes the domestic and foreign research dynamic of scaffolding instruction and operation ability,through the questionnaire survey to clarify the current situation of the elementary school mathematics classroom teaching and the present situation of the elementary operation ability,summarized from the analysis of the situation to scaffolding instruction principles of cultivating the ability of mathematics is applied to the primary school: raw nature principle,contextualized principle,integrity principle,cooperative principle,the principle of choosing media.On this basis,this paper puts forward the strategies of cultivating pupils’ operational ability based on scaffolding teaching: creating problem situations of mathematical operations effectively and cultivatingstudents’ interest in them;Flexible use of different types of brackets in operation teaching;The application of teaching support to help students learn individually;Set up teaching support to promote the normalization of group collaborative learning;Timely adjust the teaching support of mathematical operation;Media selection strategy.The author based on scaffolding instruction principles and strategies of cultivating the ability of elementary arithmetic is applied in the experimental teaching of four grade,after a semester of the experiment,compared with the control group,the score of experimental group students’ mathematical ability and each dimension has obviously improved,fill in the blanks in operation ability score,addition and subtraction,and comparison size dimensions have significant difference,but no significant difference in multiplication and division dimension.Through classroom observation,the autonomous learning ability of the experimental group was improved compared with that before the experiment.In terms of collaborative learning,the students’ communication and cooperation were improved compared with those before the experiment.In general,the principles and strategies of training elementary students’ operational ability based on scaffolding instruction can improve the level of elementary students’ operational ability.
