| Cervical cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in gynecology,of which the morbidity and mortality are increasing year by year.As a suitable age-appropriate group of HPV vaccines, female college students have strong understanding, acceptance and behavioral ability of new things. Therefore, the research on HPV vaccine inoculation in female college groups is of great significance for the effective popularization of HPV vaccine.Previous studies often take health beliefs as independent variables. This paper attempts to take health beliefs as intermediate variables.Based on the analysis of female college students’ cognition of HPV virus and HPV vaccine, this paper analyzes the effects of different channels and ways of information contact on female college students’ health beliefs and vaccination intentions. The result shows that female college students’ health beliefs and vaccination intentions are mainly affected by interpersonal communication channels and new media channels, while the influence of traditional media is limited.Specifically,in terms of new media contact, social media contact has a significant positive influence on vaccination intention, while the influence of all kinds of website contact on vaccination intention is not significant;obtaining HPV health information from family or friends can have a positive and significant impact on HPV vaccination intentions, while obtaining HPV health information through school can reduce the intentions of HPV vaccination among female college students;reading newspapers can significantly reduce perceived severity and perceived barriers;communication with healthcare providers may reduce the perceived severity of HPV and the perceived benefits of vaccination among female college students. In addition, new media exposure can influence the HPV vaccination intentions of female college students through perceived susceptibility and perceived benefits, while perceived severity and perceived barriers have no mediating effect.By introducing information contact as independent variables and testing the mediating effect of health beliefs, this article expands the dimension of HPV vaccine diffusion research to some extent and enriches the research on the effect of HPV health communication. |
