| Happiness is an eternal concern of human beings.The happiness of marriage is a prerequisite for the happiness of family.Only in a happy marriage can the happiness of family be realized.Marriage has been an indispensable social relationship since ancient times,and it has always had a place in the hot topics of sociology and demography.As an individual activity,marriage is also an important part in the basic setup of society.Part of the self-construction,reproduction and reproduction of society is realized by the marriage relationship between husband and wife,and the matching of men and women,which plays a crucial role in maintaining the normal social order.And marriage is crucial to improving and changing happiness.In the long-term marriage life of human beings,the marriage pattern has a profound and long-term impact on the quality of life after marriage.At the beginning of the marriage relationship,the couple formed a static and fixed pattern of marriage and began to live together in the twilight.Marriage pattern is the basis and carrier of the normal operation of marriage.Different types of marriage pattern have different influences on the happiness in marriage life.The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of couples’ choices on their happiness,and to examine whether there are gender and urban-rural differences in this impact.Found in the process of literature review,the researchers for a particular crowd or specific indicators of mating patterns of research is more,in terms of mating patterns and the relationship between happiness and the existing research is also more is to look at the same mass assortative mating model or a mixed indicator,and on the influence of different mass assortative mating patterns of happiness a lack of comprehensive analysis and comparison.Therefore,this study tries to examine from two dimensions of income and education mating patterns and comprehensive inspection of the marriage market matching model,through the interpretation of happiness concept in the field of psychology of carding,on the basis of choosing the happiness of the present study measures,detailed analysis of the different mating patterns on both sides of husband and wife happiness different performance.According to the purpose of the study,this study used stata software to establish oprobit model to interpret the happiness of couples from the perspective of marriage pattern.This paper mainly conducts research from six chapters,including introduction,literature review,theoretical model,data source and variable measurement,research results and conclusions and Suggestions.The first chapter discusses the research background and significance of the topic,and introduces the research contents and methods.The second chapter defines the core concepts,sorts out the domestic and foreign research on marriage pattern and happiness,and summarizes the relevant research literature.The third chapter sorts out the main theoretical results on marriage pattern and happiness,and constructs the theoretical framework of this research.The fourth chapter mainly involves data source,description of main variables and descriptive statistical analysis of all variables.The fifth chapter describes the matching pattern of marriage market,establishes oprobit model to analyze the influence of marriage pattern on the happiness of both husband and wife,and whether different genders have different performance from the perspective of gender.From the perspective of urban and rural areas,same sex happiness has different performance.The sixth chapter,based on the empirical analysis results,summarizes the conclusions of this study,puts forward reasonable Suggestions,and points out the shortcomings of this study.The research mainly draws the following conclusions:first,most people will choose the spouse whose conditions are basically the same as their own,so homogenous marriage accounts for more than half of the marriage selection results of the sample,but there are significant differences between men and women in the choice of upward marriage and downward marriage:the proportion of men choosing upward marriage is far lower than that of women;In downward marriage,the proportion of males is higher than that of females.Second,by combining the matching results of the marriage market with the happiness,it is found that the upward marriage can significantly improve the happiness of both husband and wife compared with the homogeneous marriage.Third,the difference between the perceived happiness of men and women in different marriage modes is that women can significantly improve their happiness when they marry upward,compared with the same marriage.For men,neither upward nor downward marriage had a significant effect on happiness compared with homogenous marriage.Fourth,in the rural sample,upward marriage has a significant impact on women’s happiness,but in the urban sample,this effect is not significant;Urban men marrying up reduced their happiness,but the effect was not significant in the sample of rural men.The policy implications of the above research conclusions are as follows:firstly,develop education,improve the education level of men and women,and enhance the concept of gender equality.Developing education is the fundamental way to enhance the concept of gender equality.On the one hand,the improvement of women’s education level will effectively improve their family economic status,so that women have more power in the family,thus promoting gender equality in the family.On the other hand,the improvement of men’s education level will promote the change of "male-oriented" traditional family concept,so that men will respect women more in marriage,increase men’s tolerance of marriage,and improve the quality of marriage.In addition,the government should play a leading role in building a harmonious and inclusive social atmosphere and reducing discrimination. |
