| In September 2018,President Xi Jinping pointed out the importance of cultivating comprehensively socialist builders’ and successors’ all-around moral,intellectual,physical and aesthetic grounding with a hard-working spirit in the national conference on education,which is the first time to establish the presence of labor education in the educative system and personnel training system since new China was founded in the party’s education policy with the crucial theory value and practical significance.In the theoretical aspect,study on cultivating people by the hard-working spirit in the new era analyzes inner mechanism of what kind of people will be cultivated and how to cultivate by the hard-working spirit;in the practical aspect,the study is to discover the new characteristics of labor,the new requirements of labor education and the new approaches to implement activities of labor education.Marxism considers human labor is the human’s living conditions and the way of existence,and also the foundation of social existence and development.Labor is the first basic condition of the whole human life.It not only plays an important role in the transformation from ape to man,but also promotes the development of human society and creates human society,human history and human itself.Labor is the object activity of human’s essential power.Marx once said that the combination of productive labor with intellectual education and physical education is the only way to create an all-round developed person.The Chinese communists inherited and developed the labor concept of Marxism and applied it to the practice of promoting social development and the all-round development of human beings.In the field of education,labor is gradually integrated into the educational policy and curriculum of the party and the state,which is not only the connotative development of education itself,but also the further improvement of the understanding of comprehensive development,which also indicates the urgent requirement of developing labor education and highlights the important position of labor in the education system and talent training system in the new era.Since entering the new era,the information production based on creative mental work has increasingly become the main labor form of the society,which promotes the transformations of the social production mode,life style and ideology.Therefore,performing the synthetical function of establishing morality,growing in wisdom,strengthening physique,forming aesthetic and adding value by a series of labor to development in an all-around way is the fundamental way to implement project of fostering virtue through education in the new era.The objective of cultivating people by the hard-working spirit in the new era is to cultivate new people who can undertake the task of national rejuvenation and high-quality workers with proper labor values.Specifically,the quality of laborers can be divided into five dimensions: labor values and the hard-working spirit,labor emotion and attitude,labor morality and modern quality,labor skills and innovation ability,and labor habits.According to the specific requirements of the quality of laborers in the new era,the content of education can be divided into four aspects: cultivating labor values,carrying forward the spirit of labor,strengthening labor skills,and guiding employment and entrepreneurship.To carry out the practice of labor education in the new era,we should adhere to the guiding principle of education,follow the law of education,reflect the characteristics of The Times,strengthen comprehensive implementation,and adhere to the principle of taking measures according to local conditions.To enhance the effectiveness of labor education practice is the key to fulfill the fundamental task of education and to strengthen labor education in the new era.First,we should strengthen the synergy of labor education subjects and optimize the cooperative education mechanism among schools,society,families and self-subjects;Second,we should accelerate the optimization and integration of labor education resources,and constantly tap into material,cultural and spiritual resources;Third,we should promote the creation of the carrier of labor education,constantly consummate the curriculum carrier,develop the carrier of activities,explore the carrier of life,optimize the carrier of festivals,and utilize the carrier of the network;Fourth,we should effectively promote the concrete application of labor education methods,such as narrative clarity,practical exercise,typical demonstration,incentive and induction,and self-education. |
