| The improvement of delayed muscle soreness(DOMS)is not only the needs of athletes,but also the needs of modern general public sports fitness.Finding effective control methods is of great significance to prevent sports injuries,ensure sports fitness and sports training.Although there are many intervention measures taken against DOMS,the existing intervention measures are difficult to achieve the desired results.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out further research and discussion.Allicin is the main biologically active ingredient in garlic and belongs to natural product antioxidants.Allicin has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects and free radical scavenging effects.The study of allicin for anti-DOMS and exercise fatigue is more common in animal experiment research,and related human experiment research is rare,and almost all are discussed using biochemical indicators,and there is a lack of observation and research on changes in physiological functions.Objective: Based on the recommended dosage standard of allicin,subjects were orally taken before exercise to explore the intervention effect of allicin pretreatment on DOMS and functional changes from the perspective of allicin’s antioxidant effect.Methods: This experiment was designed randomly,controlled and double-blind in strict accordance with the requirements of evidence-based medicine.Sixteen healthy young male students were guaranteed baseline balance.The subjects were randomly divided into an experimental group(Group A)and a control group(Group B).Group A received allicin pretreatment intervention and Group B received placebo pretreatment intervention.Participants in groups A and B took orally allicin capsules80 mg and placebo 80 mg daily 15 days before exercise,and then performed slope lifting training with the same quantitative load.Relevant indicators were tested before medication,before exercise,immediately after exercise,24 h after exercise,48 h after exercise,and 72 h after exercise.Test physiological indicators include subjective pain sensation,calf circumference,knee joint activity,calf muscle strength,verticalvertical jump height;test blood creatine kinase(CK),creatine kinase isozyme-MM(CK-MM)Activity,test blood malondialdehyde(MDA)content,total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC).Results: Subjective pain sensation,calf circumference,knee joint mobility,posterior calf muscle strength,vertical vertical jump height index all have significant time and group interaction(P<0.05),blood CK and CK-MM Activity,MDA content and T-AOC index also had significant time and group interactions(P <0.05).Post-single effect analysis,the subjects’ subjective pain sensation,calf circumference,CK and CK-MM activity,T-AOC,MDA content at various time points after exercise in all groups were higher than before exercise;but compared with the control group In the experimental group,the subjective pain sensation level decreased significantly at24 h,48h and 72 h after exercise(P<0.05),and the calf circumference of the experimental group decreased significantly at 48 h and 72 h after exercise(P <0.05).The activity of CK and CK-MM in the experimental group decreased significantly at24 h,48h and 72 h after exercise(P<0.05).The content of T-AOC and MDA in the experimental group immediately after exercise,24 h after exercise,48 h after exercise,72 h after exercise,it was significantly reduced(P<0.05).In addition,the knee joint mobility,posterior calf muscle strength,and vertical vertical jump height of the subjects in each group at all time points after exercise were lower than before exercise;and compared with the control group,the knee joint mobility and rear leg of the experimental group Lateral muscle strength and vertical vertical jump height increased significantly at 24 hours after exercise,48 hours after exercise,and 72 hours after exercise(P<0.05).Conclusion: Decreased muscle function,swelling and pain of muscle tissue during DOMS are related to injury.Pain affects the exertion of muscle strength and limits joint mobility.Allicin pretreatment can effectively control muscle tissue damage and swelling and reduce pain;allicin Pretreatment can effectively control the vertical vertical jumping ability,muscle strength and knee joint mobility of DOMS subjects;allicin pretreatment can alleviate DOMS by reducing the oxidative damage of muscle tissue. |
