purposes:To study the effects of continuous and intermittent treadmill exercise on MDA content and activities of SOD and T-AOC in rat serum and different tissues(myocardium, liver, quadriceps, gastrocnemius and soleus).methods: Twenty-four male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups: quiet control group(S group),continuous training group(C group)and long-term intermittent training group(I group). At the beginning of the experiment,The exercise group was advanced for a one-week adaptive treadmill.Adaptive treadmill training according to the following three load(1)the rats were subjected to exercise adaptation consisting of 20 min of treadmill running at 15 m/min/per day for first day and second day,(2)the rats were subjected to exercise adaptation consisting of 20 min of treadmill running at 18 m/min/per day for third day and fourth day,(3)the rats were subjected to exercise adaptation consisting of 20 min of treadmill running at 21 m/min/per day for fifth day and sixth day. After adaptation,Prolonged training of the exercise groups consisted of treadmillrunning 6 days a week for 6 weeks.During the first week,C group 22m/min was a constant speed and the exercise time 40 min/per day,The speed was increased 1m/min per week.I group 22m/min was a constant speed and the exercise time 20 min/per day,2 times a day,Group rest 3 hours. All animals were killed following the treadmill training after 6 weeks.Animals,Blood?heart?liver?quadriceps femoris muscle?soleus and gastrocnemius muscle were rapidly dissected and soleus wet weight was measured. These tissues were immediately frozen in liquid nitrogenand stored at-80°C prior to analysis.MDA,SOD and T-AOC were measured by colorimetric assay(kit).result:1.MDA change: After 6 weeks of continuous and intermittent treadmill exercise,The content of MDA in continuous exercise group was 5.7 ± 0.49nmol/ml,Compared with the control group was significantly lower(p<0.05),The MDA content in the long-term resting exercise group was 3.65 ± 0.68 nmol / ml,Compared with the quiet group there were significant differences(P<0.01),And the long time interval group showed a significant difference compared with the continuous training group(p<0.05);There was no significant difference in myocardial MDA content between the training group and the quiet control group(P> 0.05),the long time interval group Compared with the control group, the difference was significant(P <0.05),Compared with the control group, the long-time resting group decreasedsignificantly(P <0.05);The content of MDA in the liver was significantly lower than that in the control group(P <0.01),There was significant difference between the long-time resting group and the continuous training group(P <0.01);The content of MDA in quadriceps and gastrocnemius was lower than that in quiet group, but there was no significant difference(P> 0.05),but MDA content in soleus muscle decreased significantly compared with control group(P <0.05),The trend of decrease in the long-time resting group was significant compared with the control group(p<0.01),And the long-time group also showed a significant decrease compared with the persistent group(p<0.05).2.SOD change: The SOD activity of rats in the exercise group increased,There was no significant difference between the persistent group and the control group(p>0.05),There were significant differences between the conttious group and the control group(p<0.01).The heart SOD activity of the exercise group was higher than that of the control group,And there was significant difference between the long-time group and the control group(p<0.01),Compared with the continuous group, also showed significant differences(P<0.05),Compared with the quiet control group, the activities of SOD in the liver of the two groups were higher than those in the control group,There were significant differences(p<0.01),The difference between the long-time resting group and the persistent group was extremely significant(p<0.01).SOD activity of quadriceps femoris muscle and gastrocnemius muscle increased compared with the control group,But not statistically significant(P>0.05).SOD activity of soleus muscle was significantly higher than that of control group and persistent group(P<0.05).3.T-AOC change: The activity of T-AOC in the serum of the persistent and long-term group was significantly higher than that of the quiet group,And the difference was significant(P<0.05 and P<0.01);There were significant differences in T-AOC activity between the control group and the continuous group(P<0.01 and P<0.05),There was no statistically significant difference between the continuous group and the control group(p>0.05).The activity of liver T-AOC in the two exercise groups was significantly lower than that in the control group,Activity was significantly enhanced and has a very significant difference(P<0.01).And there was significant difference between the long-time resting group and the persistent group(P<0.05);The activity of T-AOC in the quadriceps and gastrocnemius was higher than that in the resting group, but there was no significant difference(P>0.05),T-AOC activity of the soleus muscle significantly increased compared with the control group(P<0.05),There was no statisticallysignificant difference between the persistent group and the long-time resting group(P>0.05).Conclusions:(1)After 6 weeks of continuous and intermittent treadmill training,The weight gain of two different exercise modes was significantly lower than that of the quiet control group,And prolonged resting group was significantly lower than the persistent group,It is speculated that moderate-intensity aerobic exercise contributes to weight control.(2)After 6 weeks of continuous and intermittent treadmill training,The content of free radical MDA in serum, myocardium, liver and skeletal muscle of the continuous group and the long-term group was lower than that of the control group,The activity of SOD and T-AOC in the two exercise groups showed an increasing trend than the control group,it is Suggesting that appropriate exercise can help improve the body's antioxidant capacity.(3)After 6 weeks of continuous and intermittent treadmill training,The activity of SOD and T-AOC in the soleus muscle of the long-term training group was significantly higher than that of the quadriceps femoris muscle and the gastrocnemius muscle,It is speculated that skeletal muscle free radical metabolism may be related to muscle fiber type.(4)In the same amount of exercise under the premise,After 6 weeks of continuous and intermittent treadmill training,The metabolism of serum and myocardium free radicals in the long-term training group was significantly better than that in the continuous group and the control group,it is Suggest that long-term training group is more conducive to free radical metabolism improvement.(5)In the same amount of exercise under the premise,After 6 weeks of continuous and intermittent treadmill training,The metabolism of hepatic free radicals in the long-term training group was significantly better than that in the continuous group and the control group,It is suggested that prolonged rest training can improve the detoxification ability of the liver.
