Currently,the mixed age game has been popularized in kindergartens in our country and has become a trend.The value of mixed age games in children’s social development is becoming more and more prominent,which enables outdoor mixed age games in kindergartens to attract much attention in the field of educational research and practice.As a social activity different from peer games,mixed age games are of great significance to the social development of children,and mixed age games have also become a new hot topic in the current preschool field.However,the study on mixed age games in our country rarely distinguishes outdoor games from indoor games,and outdoor mixed age games are different from indoor mixed age games due to their own characteristics.At the same time,in view of the Professional Standards for Kindergarten Teachers(Trial)issued by the Ministry of Education,teachers are required to become supporters,collaborators and guides of children’s learning activities,therefore,teachers shoulder the important responsibility for the development of mixed age games.In this regard,from the perspective of outdoor mixed age games,this study focuses on teachers ’ support in outdoor mixed age games,so as to provide more scientific guidance for teachers when guiding children to carry out outdoor mixed age games.On the basis of previous studies,this study attempts to analyze and explain the basic requirements of teachers’ support in outdoor mixed age games through literature method.It can be concluded that the basic requirements of teachers’ material support in outdoor mixed age games in kindergartens are: focus on goal setting,game form,site setting,material input,age span and time arrangement.The basic requirements of teachers’ spiritual support in outdoor mixed age games in kindergartens include: give children scientific and reasonable guidance,scientific feedback and evaluation,and create a good atmosphere for outdoor mixed age games in kindergartens.At the same time,after defining the basic goal of teachers’ support,this paper uses observation method,interview method and case analysis method to study the current situation of teachers ’ support development in outdoor mixed age games of kindergarten.This study selected a public park in Guilin,Guangxi,which carried out outdoor mixed age games as the research object,and adopted non-participatory observation method to conduct the formal observation of kindergarten teachers for 8 weeks.In the observation,92 game cases supported by teachers were collected through event sampling,and representative cases were studied and analyzed.At the same time,the study selected teachers of 8 classes in outdoor mixed age games and 1 deputy director of care and education as the interviewees,and carried out the semi-structured interviews to try to analyze the positive aspects,the existing problems and causes of the existing problems of teachers’ support in outdoor mixed age games in kindergartens,and put forward corresponding suggestions.The study found that the positive aspects of teachers’ material support in outdoor mixed age games in kindergartens are: teachers focus on the adoption of diversified game forms,the launch of diversified game materials,the setting of diversified playgrounds and the establishment of appropriate game space density.The positive aspects of teachers’ spiritual support in outdoor mixed age games in kindergartens include: teachers pay attention to individual guidance,guiding children to help each other,the equality between teachers and children and the communication of positive emotions.The problems existing in the teachers’ material support in outdoor mixed age games in kindergartens include: the goal of the game is not comprehensive enough,the suitability of the game form is not enough,the level of the game materials is not enough,the age span of children is relatively single and the time arrangement is not flexible enough.There are some problems in teachers ’ spiritual support in outdoor mixed age games in kindergartens: some teachers’ feedback is not timely and the evaluation method is relatively single.The main reasons for the existing problems are: lack of knowledge and ability of teachers to carry out outdoor mixed age games;lack of systematic learning of teachers’ outdoor mixed age games;lack of study on outdoor mixed age games.According to this,this study proposes the educational suggestions of strengthening theoretical study and improving teachers’ cognition of outdoor mixed age games;paying attention to ability cultivation and improving teachers’ ability to carry out outdoor mixed age games in kindergartens;carrying out multi-form discussions and strengthening the study of outdoor mixed age games in kindergartens.
