In recent years,with the continuous advancement and innovation of Internet technology,people’s interest in and acceptance of online learning have also increased,and the size of the online learning market has continued to grow.The widespread application and popularization of online learning has increased learners’ access to learning resources and can improve learning effects.The rapid development of social media has provided new development opportunities for online learning,but the integration of online learning and social media is still in a initial development stage.Based on this,this study uses a commercial online learning platform as research scenario.After combing and analyzing the existing research and theories at home and abroad,first of all,the case study method is used to encode the 118 experience reports of learners on the Hujiang Zhongxue Platform,to explore the impact of community’s use on learners’ learning effects.The research found that the quality of the platform(such as simple operation,platform unique features,etc.)and the quality of the curriculum(including the curriculum system,classroom quality,and curriculum resources)are positively affecting the learners’learning effects;In addition,the use of the community(including the use of internal communities,such as Q&A areas,classmates,etc.,and the use of external communities,such as WeChat,QQ and other social media)positively affects learner interactivity,and improve the learners ’emotional cognition,can better meet the learners’ learning motivation,improve learners satisfaction,and thus improve the learning effect.Based on this,combining the situational cognition theory and constructivism theory,a model of the influence of social media use on the learning effect is constructed.The questionnaire survey and structural equation model method were used to verify and analyze the hypotheses proposed by the model.The results show that 12 hypotheses are supported and 4 hypotheses are not supported.The use of social media has a positive impact on learners’ participation,of which learner-learner interaction and learner-teacher interaction play a part of the mediating role;at the same time,the use of social media has a positive effect on learners’ satisfaction,learners’ participation play a part of the mediating role;learners’participation has a positive effect on learners’ learning effects,and learners’satisfaction has a part mediating effect.The conclusions of this study have enriched the related theoretical studies of learners’ learning effects in the field of online education,and have certain implications for online education platforms,social media platforms,and business managers,and put forward the research limitations of this study and the future research direction.
