The Chinese Nation has had an elegant name called Nation of Etiquette since ancient times.Etiquette is traditional virtues of Chinese Nation,is the center of Chinese superior traditional culture,and is excellent quality which keeps updated during thousands of years.People in a nation of etiquette should be ones with etiquette.As establishers and inheritors of socialist modernization construction,in order to bear the weight of nation’s hope and future,and undertake the honor to refresh the nation,contemporary undergraduates not only needs profound professional knowledge,but also embrace matching etiquette.The etiquette education to contemporary undergraduates helps improve their qualities,meanwhile,encourages them to develop the habit of being polite.Besides,the education can also enhance contemporary graduates’ social adaptability as well as their employment competitiveness,improving the whole nation’s qualities,promoting harmonious society construction and facilitating the whole country’s integrated strength.It is profoundly important and meaningful to development of the whole country,promotion of the society and growth of single person by enhancing etiquette education to contemporary undergraduates.The paper studies on contemporary undergraduates’ etiquette education from the angle of ideological and political education,employing questionnaire method and comparative analysis method.Except preface,there are four parts are mainly included.The first summarizes basic ideas of etiquette,etiquette education and contemporary undergraduates’ etiquette education,also combs relevant theory basis of contemporary undergraduates’ etiquette education and embraces basic contents of the etiquette education.In the second part,with questionnaire and interview adopted,effects of the etiquette education has been analyzed,main features of the uncompletable etiquette education have been summarized,and main reasons for uncompletable education have been analyzed from four elements,society,family,university and person.In the third part,through collecting and reading domestic and foreign literature,five typical countries with profound study on foreign etiquette have been selected to be analyzed,main contents of foreign etiquette education has been summarized and combed,and advanced experience of foreign etiquette education has also been summarized to get enlightenment.In the fourth part,there is all-around and muti-angle solution put forward to optimize our nation’s etiquette education to contemporary undergraduates,focusing on problems in the second part,combining advanced foreign experience.The solution has been carried out from five angles,including change of etiquette education ideas,promotion of contents,innovation of teaching methods,optimization of education environment and complement of education system.
