This article takes the branding of college sports events in Zhengzhou as the research object.Based on the investigation of the development of sports and competitions in colleges and universities in Zhengzhou City,through basic methods such as literature data method,interview method,SWOT analysis method,questionnaire survey method,etc.interviews and surveys of physical education teachers in 10 colleges and universities in Zhengzhou and related to sports events in Zhengzhou colleges and universities Staff,sports event intermediaries,and university teachers who study sports event management and management,the advantage,disadvantage,opportunities and threats of the branding are investigated and analyzed through the aspects of university sports development status,venue facilities,ideology,policy direction,event operation,etc.On this basis,the basic ways to build the branding of sports events in Zhengzhou colleges and universities are discussed.The investigation shows that the advantages and disadvantages of sports events brand construction in Zhengzhou colleges and universities coexist,opportunities and threats coexist,and the factors restricting the brand construction of sports events in Zhengzhou colleges and universities are: policy factors,coordination and unification between development and policy,mechanism and system;fund factors,few sources of funds,single financing channels;management factors,backward management concepts,lack of management personnel,lack of leadership of college sports associations;construction factors,market operation and commercial promotion degree,spiritual culture and connotation of brand events.The following suggestions are put forward: Overcoming constraints,perfecting the basic sports events in colleges and universities,cultivating professional talents;combining with local characteristics,shaping the sports brand competition culture of Zhengzhou colleges and universities;drawing lessons from successful cases,promoting strengths and circumventing weaknesses;choosing superior university sports events to create quality events;Actively obtain government support,build brand events development platform...
