| Affected by factors such as national history and geographical location,the study of Canadian education history started relatively late,and the early study of educational history has been deeply imprinted by Europe and the United States.With the independence of the Canadian nation and the development of society,its educational history research has developed rapidly,and has gradually shown its own research characteristics.Canadian modern educational historiography is an important part of the world educational historiography,which has certain reference significance for the study of educational history in China.The research of educational history takes the historical process of people’s research on educational history as the research object.Through analyzing and summarizing the research methods and characteristics embodied in the process of its emergence and development,it reveals its future development trend.This paper takes the development of Canadian modern educational historiography as the research object,and takes the Canadian academic development trend and social development status in different periods as the research background,trying to clarify the development of Canadian educational historiography and its research characteristics at different stages,and reveal its future development trend.In the process of writing this paper,the literature research method and historical comparison method are mainly used.Through the literature research method,this paper summarizes the representative figures,representative works,representative theories and methods of Canadian education history research in different periods,and further analyzes and summarizes them in combination with the specific era background.Through the method of historical comparison,this paper makes a horizontal and vertical comparison of Canadian educational historiography,that is,a vertical comparison of the characteristics of Canadian traditional educational historiography and new educational historiography in different periods;a horizontal comparison of different schools of Canadian educational historiography in the same period,such as feminist educational historiography,family educational historiography and urban educational historiography.This article consists of three parts:introduction,main body and conclusion.The main body includes four sections.The introduction briefly introduces the reason and significance of this paper,combs and summarizes the relevant research on Canadian history and educational history by scholars at home and abroad,and outlines the research content and research methods of this paper.According to the research characteristics of Canadian educational history in different periods,the author divides it into four stages,including the formation of Canadian educational history(1922-1968),the turn(1969-1980),the diversity(1980-early 21st century)and the new trends(after 21st century).Specifically,the first section introduces the formation,development and characteristics of Whig educational history and the Canadian traditional educational history under the influence of Whig educational history.The second section mainly discusses the background of the turn of educational history in Canada and the rise and development of new educational historiography.The third section introduces the establishment of specialized research institutions and journals of educational history in Canada,as well as the representative schools in the late 20th century,such as feminist educational history,family educational history and urban educational history.The fourth section introduces the new characteristics and new trends of Canadian educational historiography under the impact of postmodernism and the global view of history.The conclusion part reviews and analyzes the overall course of Canadian educational history research,and provides enlightenment and reference for the construction and development of the current education history discipline in China. |
