The ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities are the main front for ideological education and the main channel to implement the fundamental task of establishing morality.The development and application of big data has brought new opportunities for the reform and innovation of ideological and political theory courses.The thesis studies how to apply big data to the teaching of ideological and political theory courses,explore effective application strategies,and improve the teaching effect of ideological and political theory courses.First,the thesis defines the concept of big data,analyzes the characteristics of big data,and then expounds the theoretical basis,necessity and feasibility of applying big data to the teaching of ideological and political theory courses in universities.Secondly,a case analysis method was used to study the current status of the application of big data in the teaching of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities.The study found that the application of big data has revolutionized the teaching concept of ideological and political theory courses and produced a number of theoretical research results.Some teachers have begun to try to apply the big data concept to the teaching of ideological and political theory courses;For example,the academic condition analysis system of Huazhong Normal University can provide teachers with personalized learning and diagnosis results for students,and adjust teaching plans according to them;enriching the assessment methods of ideological and political theory courses,such as the paperless examination of Xinjiang Medical University Marxism College and Chengdu The computer-based exams of the Polytechnic University are all based on the online answering big data system for theoretical class examinations and examinations,providing a new way of assessment;guaranteeing the quality of ideological and political theory causes of problems from three dimensions: colleges,teachers and students.The study believes that the traditional teaching concept is difficult to change,the development level of universities is uneven,the development of big data platforms is lagging,and the lack of professionals in big data research has led many schools to use big data teaching "without power";teachers want to use big data for teaching However,the school cannot provide a platform,or cannot provide training for every teacher,so that teachers will not use it,and some teachers are unwilling to spend time learning new teaching methods because of the status quo.The big data teaching method is used,but the school cannot provide a choice,and some students refuse to use the big data teaching because of concerns about data security,resulting in students being "inadequate" to use big data.Finally,in view of the existing problems,the study proposes measures to improve the application of big data to the teaching of ideological and political theory courses from three aspects: colleges,educators,and students,and improve the teaching effect of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities.First,strengthen the construction of university big data platforms,improve the existing big data assessment methods,existing big data teaching feedback platforms,build university big data resource sharing platforms,and promote the widespread application of big data teaching methods in ideological and political theory courses in universities;second To improve educators ’ability to apply big data,use big data thinking for instructional design,and use big data as a starting point to carry out classroom teaching and improve the real-time quality of classroom teaching;third,strengthen
