Does The Quality Of Parental Marriage Affect Young People’s Willingness To Accumulate Human Capital And Behavioral Habits?

As we all know,the theory of human capital transmission between generations is an important theme in economics.Most of the existing researches believe that human capital will be passed on between generations,that is,families will reasonably allocate resources to their children under the established resource constraints,and make the best decisions for the intergenerational transfer of human capital as much as possible to achieve human resources.The optimal solution is selected for capital intergenerational transmission.Relevant studies have shown that offspring with good living habits and a strong willingness to accumulate human capital will be more likely to realize the intergenerational transfer of family capital.Based on this,from the perspective of adolescents,this article studies how to optimize the quality of parental marriages as much as possible under the background of established family conditions,promote the development of good living habits and higher willingness to accumulate human capital,and correctly and actively guide the health of adolescents.Grow,and further expand the scale of intergenerational transfer of family human capital.Especially in recent years,China has gradually transformed from a high-speed growth model to a high-quality growth model,from made in China to created in China,and the emphasis on talents is also increasing day by day.The adolescent stage,as the most critical time in life,guides the healthy development of young people and strives to become talents,which can lay the foundation for the transformation of my country’s future economic model.At present,more and more scholars at home and abroad are focusing on the field of youth education in family economics.Existing literature has conducted specific research from multiple perspectives such as adolescents’ mental health,adolescents’ cognitive abilities,and adolescents’ social abilities to explore the specific impact of the family environment on children’s growth and development.However,relevant research has not yet given sufficient evidence on the issue of intergenerational transmission,especially whether the quality of parental marriage affects the willingness of adolescents to accumulate human capital and behaviors and habits of adolescents,as well as the impact mechanism.Based on this,this article studies how the quality of parental marriage affects adolescents’ behavioral habits and willingness to accumulate human capital,which is helpful to provide references and references for related family economics research.This article uses CEPS 2014-2015 academic year data to conduct empirical research.First,observe the distribution of adolescents’ behavioral habits and willingness to accumulate human capital through a frequency distribution table,and then construct a multiple linear regression model to further examine the relationship between parental marriage quality and adolescents’ willingness to accumulate human capital and behavior habits.This paper uses the mediation effect model to examine the mechanism of parental marriage quality on adolescents’ willingness to accumulate human capital and adolescents’ behavioral habits.The empirical results show that families with poor parental marriages will have more negative emotions in the youth in the near future,leading to adolescents’ bad behavior and habits.The willingness to accumulate human capital decreases;on the other hand,families with poor parental marriages have a significant reduction in the degree of family interaction,that is,the degree of parental supervision of children decreases and the communication between parents and children deteriorates,which affects the development of adolescents’ behavior habits and the willingness to accumulate human capital.That is to say,adolescents in a family environment with poor parental marriage quality,compared with adolescents in a family environment with good parental marriage quality,often lack communication with their parents,and produce emotional instability,indifference and other negative emotions,leading to their own bad Develop behavior habits and reduce their willingness to accumulate human capital.In addition,in order to test the robustness of the results,this paper uses the propensity score matching method to minimize the impact of sample selection bias on the regression results.The results of the propensity score matching method verify that the quality of parental marriage has a significant role in promoting adolescents’ behavior habits and willingness to accumulate human capital.In addition,consider the problem of sample endogeneity,that is,the problem of missing variables that cannot be observed,such as the personal ability of adolescents.These variables do not change with time,but will affect the explained variables.In order to solve such problems,this paper uses the data of the two current Chinese Family Education Tracking Surveys to construct panel data,and uses the two-way fixed effect model of individual years to further verify the influence of parental marriage quality on the external evaluation and human capital accumulation willingness of adolescents.The results of the study show that a good quality of parental marriage will cause young people to receive fewer negative comments and have a stronger willingness to accumulate human capital.Finally,this article summarizes the relevant research conclusions,and proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions based on the conclusions.Based on my country’s current basic education and national conditions,the causal relationship and mechanism of action between parental marriage quality and teenagers’ behavioral habits and willingness to accumulate human capital are clarified,providing new empirical evidence for the field of family economics.At the same time,it also provides a reference for my country to further improve relevant laws in the future.How to start from the government,schools,families and other levels to further promote the formation of good behaviors and habits of young people and increase the willingness to accumulate human capital,optimize the family human capital intergenerational transmission mode,and achieve parental harmony good interaction and common development of children will not only promote the healthy development of young people and avoid going astray,but will also have indelible significance to our country’s strategy of strengthening the country with talents.
