Research On Motivation Channels And Promotion Strategies Of International Students Participating In Volunteer Service

Since the 1970 s,volunteer services and related organizations have been developing all over the world,and have gradually become an important part of the development of modern society.In recent years,volunteer organizations have become an important part of young people’s participation in social activities all over the world,young people in the process of participating in voluntary activities can not only contact the marginalized and vulnerable groups,in contact with different strata to cultivate social responsibility,but also in the activities to experience the problems in social development,through the real world understanding to establish correct values,and finally through social practice to let participants know,understand society,deepen the understanding of theoretical knowledge,improve the enthusiasm to participate in solving social problems.Since the reform and opening up,many voluntary service groups have been born on the campus of Chinese universities,and after many years of development,college student volunteers,as an important participant in China’s voluntary service,have played an important role in voluntary service.With the rise of China’s national strength,its scientific and technological level and the influence of cultural strength increased year by year,the number and scale of foreign students to China is also expanding.It has been more than 70 years since the first batch of students from Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union began in 1950,and the number of international students coming to China has increased from an initial 33 to 397,635 in2019,in 202 countries around the world.According to a 2013 study,the purpose of studying abroad in China mainly includes improving Chinese language proficiency,learning Chinese culture and improving professional competitiveness,and some international students are motivated by integration and instrumental motivation.At the same time,with the scientificization and internationalization of relevant voluntary organizations,more and more international students want to join the volunteer team.Volunteering not only enriches the after-school life of international students and enhances their practical ability,but also enables them to better understand China,integrate into China and experience Chinese culture more closely.The rapid development of the Internet has made the volunteer service platform pronceive and create opportunities for international students to reflect their own value.In the process of volunteering,international students and Chinese students also know each other,help each other,communicate with each other,work together,and enhance their friendship with each other.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the motivation,channel and promotion strategy of overseas students who come to China to participate in volunteer service under the background of "the Belt and Road Initiatives".
