| In recent years,college students’ physical health has attracted wide attention from all walks of life.College students’ lack of physical exercise awareness,poor team awareness,sedentary inactivity and so on have become serious problems affecting their physical health.The purpose of this study is to explore the role of high-intensity interval training in promoting college students’ physical health and the feasibility of popularizing college physical education courses.High-intensity interval training(HIIT)is characterized by short exercise time,high intensity and good effect.This can effectively make up for the disadvantages of long time and monotonous form of traditional training methods for college students with high schoolwork pressure and less spare time.In this study,80 non-PE majors who have no habit of physical exercise were selected for 12 weeks,three times a week and 60 minutes each time.The research adopts the methods of literature review,mathematical statistics,questionnaire survey and experiment,taking 40 male and 40 female college students in Inner Mongolia Normal University as subjects,and tests students’ speed quality,strength quality,flexibility quality,agility quality,endurance quality and balance and coordination ability from three dimensions of body shape,physical function and physical fitness,and makes statistical analysis combined with the questionnaire survey results to explore the influence of high-intensity intermittent training on college students’ physical health The following contents are obtained:Results:1.Body shape: Male students’ weight scores decreased,BMI index approached the normal range,and their scores were significantly different(P<0.05).There was no significant difference among girls(P>0.05).The percentage of body fat and waist-hip ratio of male and female students decreased,and there was a very significant difference(P<0.01).2.Physical function: Both male and female students’ vital capacity scores were significantly improved,and there was a very significant difference(P<0.01).3.Physical quality: the strength,endurance,flexibility,speed,sensitivity and balance of girls All of them were significantly improved with significant difference(P≤0.05).All physical fitness indexes of male students were significantly improved except pull-up and 50-meter running,and there were significant differences(P<0.05).4.It is feasible to introduce high-intensity intermittent training into university physical education class.Conclusion:1.In terms of body shape,after 12 weeks of high-intensity intermittent training,it can effectively control the posture and reduce the risk of obesity of college students.The body weight and BMI of the subjects tended to normal level obviously,and the experimental results showed that there were obvious differences between boys and girls.However,the percentage of body fat and waist-to-hip ratio of both boys and girls were significantly improved.2.In terms of physical function,12 weeks of high-intensity intermittent training can significantly improve the vital capacity of college students and improve their physical function level.3.In terms of physical fitness,12-week high-intensity interval training can effectively improve college students’ strength,endurance,flexibility,speed,sensitivity and balance.However,the effect of improving the strength quality and speed quality of boys’ upper limbs is not obvious;The improvement effect of standing long jump on strength quality is greater for girls than for boys.4.High-intensity interval training can effectively promote the physical health level of college students,and can be used as an effective intervention scheme for college students’ fitness exercise,which has certain practicability and implementability.People who take part in exercise should fully understand their physical health according to their own characteristics,so as to choose the correct method of self-exercise.High-intensity interval training is a good choice for students who can’t spend a lot of time and energy on physical exercise and urgently need to achieve the goal of strengthening their physical health in a short time.It has a great practical effect for improving the physical and mental health of college students and promoting the continuous development of their physical health level,and also provides a certain reference for promoting the development of high-intensity intermittent training into university physical education class in the future,which is of great significance for adding new forms to university physical education class to promote students’ interest in physical exercise. |
