Research On College Students’ Idolatry

In recent years,idolatry has become a more and more common phenomenon among college students.Idolatry is a spiritual pursuit and sustenance of college students,which has a close impact on their choice of making friends,learning attitude,consumption habits and so on.However,in real life,some bad behavior appeared like obessesion with idols,cognitive deviation,improper star chasing,which seriously affect the healthy growth of college students’ personal thought,and which also have a negative impact on their outlook and values on life and world.Through the investigation,it is found that college students’ idolatry presents the characteristics of autonomy,universality and diversity,and the combination of sensibility and rationality.The existing problems are mainly manifested in consumption,representation,and the disconnection between cognition and reality.The main reasons for these problems are as follows.The problem of college students’ idolatry has not been paid attention to by the ideological and political education in colleges and universities.The bad network environment and the temptations of mass media,the indifference of family members,the self-seeking spiritual development of college Students.Therefore,the study puts forward some strategies to deal with these problems from the aspects of school,society and family.In family,parents should pay more attention to their children’s spiritual needs and guide their children’s ideological development.College students should take the initiative to seek a self-fulfilling lifestyle and cultivate healthy habits.Colleges and universities should strengthen the ideological and political education of college students,they should educate and guide college students’ idolatry,and give full play to the positive influence of college students’ idolatry,and effectively reduce the negative influence of college students’ idolatry.The Internet and modern mass media should be reasonably supervised and...
