The Research On College Students’ Idolatry And Its Guidance

College students, as the leading group who have obtained new technology and new ideas,have a tremendous responsibility for the construction of our country and the rejuvenation of the nation, represent the most advanced popular culture, and also are the youngest and most dynamic generation. Among the college students, idolatry is increasingly becoming a common psychological phenomenon which is gradually affecting their lives, learning,thoughts, behavior and the construction of the value and concept. Positive, rational idolatry contributes to the formation of college students’ good ideological and moral quality and the improvement of the healthy personality, on the other hand, the negative, irrational idolatry will hinder the development of college students’ comprehensive quality. But the political educators did not pay enough attention to the college students’ idolatry which lack of proper guidance. Therefore, the analysis on the phenomenon of idolatry, and putting forward feasible guidance measures have important theoretical significance and practical application value.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the background and significance of the present study. The first part defines the related concepts of the idolatry and the university students’ idolatry, and expounds the integration of the university students’ idolatry and the ideological and political education. On the basis of relevant theoretical research, the third part selects the students in the North University of China as the subject to have a better understanding of the current situation of students’ idolatry and the existing problems. The fourth part makes a summary on the dual influence of the college students’ idolatry, existing problems and the reasons by the analysis of the questionnaire. The fifth part puts forward the guiding measures on the phenomenon of college students’ idolatry from the aspects of school, social media, family, and college students themselves. Hoping the study of this paper, will be beneficial for college students to establish the correct idolatry andthe improvement and innovation of the ideological and political education in the future.
