| According to the statistical analysis bulletin on the development of domestic education in 2019 released by the Ministry of education website,there are 2688 colleges and universities in China in 2019,of which 757 are private colleges and universities(including257 independent colleges and 1 adult college),accounting for 28.16% of the total number in China.With the increase of the proportion of private higher education,all kinds of school running problems of private colleges and universities have become increasingly prominent,causing widespread concern in the academic community.In this context,as the core index to judge the teaching quality of private higher education,the professional development of teachers in private colleges and universities is worthy of in-depth study.At the beginning of the study,a large number of literature studies were carried out to clarify the connotation of teachers’ professional development in private colleges and universities.By summarizing the current academic views,this paper defines the concept of teachers’ professional development in private colleges and universities,analyzes the characteristics of teachers’ professional development in private colleges and universities,and presents the professional development system of teachers in private colleges and universities one by one from the aspects of development goals,development content,development path and security system.Through the methods of literature research,questionnaire,interview and case analysis,this paper studies the current situation of teachers’ professional development of H school in C City from the school level and the teacher level,so as to provide some experience for colleagues who pay attention to the teachers’ professional development of private colleges and universities.By analyzing the current situation of teachers’ professional development in H school in C City,the following problems are found: unclear goals,monotonous content,limited ways and lack of development.In view of these problems,this paper explores the reasons from the social level,school level and private college teachers themselves,and puts forward some corresponding suggestions.It is expected to increase the government’s policy preference for the professional development of teachers in private colleges and universities,increase financial subsidies,encourage private colleges and universities to raise multiple funds,improve the welfare and social status of teachers in private colleges and universities,and try to formulate a national training plan for the promotion of young teachers’ professional ability;In addition,we should optimize the system of teachers’ professional development in private colleges and universities,including: making a scientific plan of teachers’ professional development in private colleges and universities,building a perfect system of teachers’ training in private colleges and universities,and paying attention to the construction of evaluation mechanism of teachers’ professional development in private colleges and universities;Individual teachers should establish a positive and correct concept of professional development,constantly enrich their own professional theoretical knowledge and strengthen their self-improvement ability. |
