Optimization And Study On The Path Of International Exchange And Cooperation In Higher Vocational Colleges

With the increasing globalization of the economy,the internationalization of higher education in China has become an inevitable trend.International exchange and cooperation is an important way for higher education to move toward internationalization,and it is the need to enhance our country’s higher education strength,to enhance the influence of colleges and universities,and to promote the economic development.Higher vocational education is an important part of higher education.International exchange and cooperation is of great importance to improve the higher vocational education level,and is conducive to cultivating high-level technical and skilled talents with international thinking and vision.Based on the literature review of the related research on international exchange and cooperation in higher vocational colleges,the present paper establishes an analytical framework for the research on the implementation path of international exchange and cooperation in higher vocational colleges from four aspects: motivation,characteristics,implementation path and path optimization.To specifically analyze the implementation path of international exchange and cooperation in higher vocational colleges,the present paper chooses a vocational college in Hunan Province as the research object.By summarizing and analyzing the official website and the information in the quality annual report of the college,it finds out that the current situation of the implementation path of international exchange and cooperation in five aspects:In terms of student exchange: including recruiting foreign students with academic qualifications and sending students to study abroad.In terms of teacher exchange: including introducing foreign teachers and sending national teachers abroad to exchange.In terms of high-quality educational resources exchange: including developing curriculum standards and introducing international curriculum system.In terms of Chinese-foreign cooperative education: including joint enterprise running a school and signing the intention of cooperation in running a school.In terms of academic and cultural exchanges: including attending academic conferences and holding lectures by foreign experts.To get a better understanding of situation of the implementation of international exchange and cooperation of this college,the questionnaire survey and interview methods are used to further investigate and analyze its implementation and development situation.Based on the results of questionnaire survey,interview,and the quality annual report of the college,it is found that there exist some problems in the internationalization of this college,such as the scale of student international exchange is small,the teacher internationalization level is limited,the knowledge of international courses is insufficient,the quality of Chinese-foreign cooperation education is poor,and the atmosphere of international academic and cultural exchange is weak.It is found out that the main causes of these problems are: the implementation of the internationalization concept is not in place,the internationalization fund is insufficient and the management mechanism of the internationalization is imperfect.To solve the above problems and to provide reference for higher vocational colleges to carry out international exchange and cooperation,by combining the successful experience of Jinhua Polylechnic and Shandong Vocational College of Science and Technology in carrying out international exchanges and cooperation,the following suggestions are put forward: fully implement the concept of internationalization to enhance the high-quality development of international exchanges and cooperation;increase the investment of internationalization funds to promote the comprehensive development of international exchanges and cooperation;construct a complete management system to promote the sustainable development of international exchange and cooperation.
