Research On Vocational Education And Manufacturing Industry Development

As a pillar industry of China’s national economy,manufacturing industry plays a significantly important role in driving economic growth.Since the reform and opening up,China has been promoting the development of manufacturing industry and undertook many industrial transfer projects from developed countries by virtue of its low-cost manpower advantage.Consequently,it has became one of the manufacturing powers.In recent years,Jiangxi Province has made a breakthrough during the development of manufacturing industry because of its abundant natural resources.However,Jiangxi Province is faced with a serious shortage of highly skilled talents while maintaining the continuous growth of total manufacturing output value and added value,which restricts the further development of such industry.For this reason,how Jiangxi Province can output groups of skilled talents for the development of manufacturing industry through vocational education remains the core of the current work.The arrival of knowledge economy makes human capital an essential input factor in production and an important factor affecting economic growth.Taking Jiangxi Province as an example,we conducted a study on the relationship of secondary vocational education and manufacturing industry of Jiangxi.Since the reform and opening up,the economy of Jiangxi Province has developed rapidly,among which the manufacturing industry plays a vital role.According to the data of Jiangxi Statistical Yearbook 2018,the gross regional product of Jiangxi Province reached 2198.478 billion yuan,of which the gross product of primary industry was187.733 billion yuan,the gross product of secondary industry was 1025.021 billion yuan and the gross product of tertiary industry accounted for 985.724 billion yuan.The secondary industry increased by 62.223 billion yuan compared with the previous year and the contribution rate of the secondary industry was 46.6%,suggesting that industry is the leading force for economic development in Jiangxi Province and the manufacturing industry is the leading force for industrial development.However,most of the vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province do not satisfy with the needs of the manufacturing industry.Moreover,insufficient investment in vocational education,imperfect curriculum system and other problems greatly restrict the development of vocational education.As an important port for the output of vocational skilled talents,the development level of vocational education in colleges affects the development of manufacturing industry.Through reading a large number of literature and surveys,the author knows that in the process of promoting the development of manufacturing industry,secondary vocational education especially plays a more important role.Therefore,this paper mainly starts from the perspective of secondary vocational education and combines the development status of secondary vocational education and manufacturing industry in Jiangxi Province selected in 2009-2018 in Jiang Xi Province,nanchang,yichun,shangjao,pingsiang,fuzhou,ganzhou,yingtan,gian eight manufacturing level panel data and building regression model,the vocational education in jiangxi province and the relationship between manufacturing and quantitative analysis,and vocational education in jiangxi province and manufacturing development uncoordinated reason,aiming at the problems from four aspects and perfect the corresponding policy recommendations.
