| Creativity has received a great deal of attention in recent years and many scholars agree that it is one of the most effective tools for facing an uncertain future and coping with life’s challenges,as well as being one of the most important skills that young children need to learn.Research has shown that the age of 3-5 years is a critical period for the development of creative thinking in young children,and how to effectively promote the development of creativity in young children during this period is the main aim of this study.At present,traditional construction games focus more on the development of children’s construction skills and are not as effective in developing creativity.Overseas research has shown that story contextualisation can be better integrated with constructive play and has a positive impact on children’s creativity development,but less research has been conducted in China.Therefore,this research has designed a series of game activity plans based on the way of story contextualized construction of the game,taking the ATDE creative thinking teaching model as the basic framework,and modified it to fit for story contextualized construction of the game framework,namely: Story,Asking,Thinking,Creating,Playing and Enjoying.In this study,20 children from the Kindergarten Y class in Nanchang were selected to participate in three rounds of the play based on the three themes of "Save the Moon Rabbit","Fantastic Journey" and "Fight against the Epidemic"(10 children in the experimental group and 10 children in the control group),and three rounds of constructive play activities were conducted for six months.Among them,the researcher referred to the spiral cycle action research model proposed by Lewin as the basic process,reflecting on and refining the designed game programme during the implementation process,and discussing with the co-teachers and the research group how to enhance the development of children’s creativity in the story-contextualised construction games..The conclusions are as follows:(1)the development of the creativity of children in big class is promoted by the contextualized story-building game.Through the use of “Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking”(TTCT)and “Analysing Children’s Creative Thinking ”(ACCT)for observation,found that the story-based context-based construction of games can effectively enhance the development level of children’s creativity,and creative thinking of the fluency,flexibility,originality and refinement of the dimensions of a positive role in promoting.(2)appropriate theme environment and construction space can enrich the story scene and improve children’s imagination.To provide the real scene and enough construction space related to the story situation,so that children and the construction of the wall to achieve an ideal interactive effect,and gradually enrich the story situation in the game scene,the flexibility and refinement of children’s creative thinking.(3)a variety of construction materials can stimulate children to explore the content of the story.According to the story situation to construct the material to carry on the renewal and the substitution,fully satisfied the young child to the story plot ponder and the exploration,with the matter substitute the behavior frequency to increase,the creativity thinking fluency and the originality to promote unceasingly.(4)effective teacher guidance strategies can extend the development of story situations.Starting from the educational concept of creativity,teachers support and encourage children’s creative behavior and innovative ideas,and constantly extend the story to enhance children’s creativity level.Therefore,in the context of the story situation,the intervention of children’s play construction from three aspects: the creation of play environment,the release of play materials,and the guidance of teachers can effectively enhance the development level of children’s creativity,and creative thinking of the fluency,flexibility,originality and refinement of the dimensions of a positive role in promoting. |
