Due to a new round of education reform,as an important part of art learning,the“design and application” learning has played an important role in art teaching and cultivation of students’ innovative consciousness and capabilities.It is proposed that anchored instruction can be mainly applied to the "design and application" learning of primary school art,because it can meet the course requirements of primary school art while complying with the object of quality education.Anchored instruction focus on the problems,it passes knowledge through practical events or activities,combining the teaching process with reality and encouraging students to forming into groups to discover and solve problems by themselves.The course design of primary school art is also life education,therefore,anchored instruction and “design and application”learning should be based on the actual life of students and the things they are interested in.Combining anchored instruction and “design and application” learning can not only warming up the classroom atmosphere,it can also change the passive learning into active learning of self-constructed knowledge.The paper contains five chapters.The introduction analyzed the research background and significance and reviewed the literatures at home and abroad,supporting by methods such as experiment,questionnaire and interview.After that,it expounded the concept of anchored instruction and "design and application" learning,and analyzed the theoretical basis of both.Then,students of 7 primary schools and 21first-line teachers in Jianhu County of Yancheng City were investigated for the feasibility of anchored instruction,and the survey data were analyzed to provide support for the subsequent teaching.Next step,according to the application principle of anchored instruction,as well as the case study of the teaching principle in this field and the general process of the anchored instruction,the steps of the anchored instruction were concluded and the teaching cases of two theories were exemplified.,on the basis of experiment,two teaching models were applied to different classes,the results of the questionnaires before and after the experiment were compared and analyzed to discuss the practical effects of anchored instruction and the experimental results were summarized.The last chapter reviewed and concluded the study to provide certain references for future researchers.
