| As an important intangible cultural heritage in Zhejiang,Pujiang Bench Dragon has attracted widespread attention from all walks of life in the society in recent years.In the Pujiang area,the bench dragon exists and develops in various forms,and the more famous one is the bench dragon danced by the Zheng family.The Zheng family has a long cultural history and unique family traditions.Its bench dragons have completely different characteristics from bench dragons in other regions,which are mainly reflected in the integration of but independent benches between large families,brothers,and various branches.The content of the dragon ceremony,so the bench dragon ceremony not only inherits the fine cultural traditions of the Zheng family,but also reflects the strong cultural characteristics.This study takes the bench dragon ceremony in Pujiang County,Jinhua City,Zhejiang Province as the object of investigation.It uses documentary materials,field research,interview methods,and borrows relevant theoretical knowledge of anthropology,folklore,cultural studies,and sports.The Dragon Ceremony investigated,collected and sorted out its process,content,and characteristics,and came to the following conclusions:(1)The bench dragon of the Zheng family,which is more important among the bench dragons of Pujiang,has shown a strong familial character by relying on the development of the Zheng family for a long time.(2)The bench dragon of the Zheng family formed its own characteristics in the process of development,manifested in the characteristics of ancestor worship,New Year greetings,and branching to protect the homeland.(3)The typical characteristics of the formation of the bench dragon of the Zheng family are driven by powerful cultural forces behind it.In the bench dragon activity,culture is mainly inherited through rituals,which is of great significance for people to place their ancestors’ awe,love,brotherhood,and guardianship of their homes.(4)The excavation of the culture behind the Zheng’s bench dragon ceremony will promote people’s understanding of traditional culture,preservation of traditional culture,and development of traditional culture. |
