| Educational compensation is the general term of the policies made by the government to provide educational supports to the groups with certain difficulties in the compulsory education stage and guarantee the basic educational rights.Under the imbalance in the allocation of urban and rural education resources, coupled with the backward economic development in rural areas, makes the rural students not accessible to a good education, the education compensation for rural compulsory education students is the only way to solve this educational inequality.Starting from the education compensation policy, this study explores the implementation status of education compensation in Y County of Henan Province and the influence of education compensation on students’ academic self-efficacy from the perspective of students, which has certain theoretical and practical significance.Academic self-efficacy mainly reflects people’s confidence in learning ability, which is positively correlated with students’ academic performance.Students with good academic performance are generally more likely to receive high-level education, and the increase in the years of schooling can improve individual knowledge, skills and income, and prevent the intergenerational transmission of poverty, which is also the ultimate purpose of the implementation of education compensation policy. Therefore, this study selects students’ academic self-efficacy to evaluate the effect of educational compensation policies, and creatively divides educational compensation policies into three dimensions: basic-need education compensation, curative education compensation and developmental education compensation.According to the specific content of the corresponding policy under each dimension, design the "Education Compensation" scale, and with reference to the "Academic Self-Efficacy Questionnaire" compiled by Liang Yusong and Zhou Zongkui(1999),form the "Compulsory Education Compensation Effect Survey Questionnaire".After the pre-survey,item analysis and reliability and validity test were conducted on the data to form the final scale. Two rural schools, one township school and two county schools in Y County of Henan Province were selected for the formal investigation.A total of 859 questionnaires were distributed and 835 were collected, among which 762 were valid, with an effective rate of 91.26%.Through difference analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis, the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)The implementation of rural compulsory education compensation in Y County of Henan Province is relatively good;(2)The implementation of rural compulsory education compensation in Y County of Henan Province has significant differences in gender, age, grade, school area, parents’ educational background, income, and occupation, but no significant difference in the number of children at home;(3)basic-need education compensation policies, curative education compensation policies and developmental education compensation policies are positively correlated with students’ academic self-efficacy in rural compulsory education stage;(4)In addition to curative education compensation,basic-need education compensation and developmental education compensation can jointly predict the students’ academic self-efficacy in rural compulsory education stage, and the standardized regression equation of academic self-efficacy can be obtained:academic self-efficacy = 1.299 + 0.408 * developmental education compensation +0.172 * basic-need education compensation.Based on the above conclusions,in order to ensure the effectiveness of rural compulsory education compensation policy implementation,we should:(1)Continue strengthening education compensation supports for students from disadvantaged families in rural areas by means of basic-need,curative and developmental education compensation;(2)In view of potential safety hazards on campus, build a "government+ school + family" campus safety management linkage mechanism;(3)Proceed from the vital interests of students to create a clean and tidy boarding school accommodation environment based on the actual needs of students;(4)In order to promote the physical and mental health of students, build a professional mental health teacher access and training platform. |
