| Altruistic behavior is a kind of voluntary behavior which is beneficial to others, and has no obvious selfish motive. It is of great significance to the survival and development of individuals, and also an important factor in building a harmonious society. This makes altruistic behavior become a hot research topic in psychology. As the reserve force of social development, the understanding and implementation of altruistic behavior also reflects the development trend of society. There are many factors influencing altruistic behavior, such as emotion, cognition, personality, etc. As an individual and a reference individual, relative deprivation feels that they have not got the results they should have, and realize that they are in a disadvantage, and then produce negative emotions such as unfair feeling and anger.Few researchers have discussed the impact on altruistic behavior and the mechanism of the effect of this effect.Based on this, this study explores the relationship between relative deprivation and altruistic behavior, and the chain mediating effect of personal justice world beliefs and self-esteem.The first study is related research, using the questionnaire survey method, using the relative deprivation scale, personal justice world belief scale,self-esteem scale and altruistic behavior scale to explore the relationship between the four.In this study,768 valid questionnaires were collected. In the second study,210 college students were selected as subjects to explore the effects of relative deprivation and altruistic behavior on their belief in a just world,self-esteem and altruistic behavior.Among them, the measurement of relative deprivation and altruistic behavior is different from that of study one in order to increase the reliability of the conclusion.Through the above research, this study draws the following four conclusions:relative deprivation can significantly negatively predict college students’ altruistic behavior, the stronger the relative deprivation, the less altruistic behavior;personal justice world belief can play a mediating role in the impact of relative deprivation on altruistic behavior;self-esteem can play a mediating role in the impact of relative deprivation on altruistic behavior;personal belief in a just world and self-esteem can play a chain mediating role in the influence of relative deprivation on altruistic behavior. The results of study 2 are similar to those of study 1,but there are some advances. While verifying the relationship between the four factors again,it reveals the causal relationship between relative deprivation and altruistic behavior. This study starts with the factor of reducing altruistic behavior-relative deprivation, explores the possible reasons for the weakening of altruistic behavior, and the mechanism(personal belief in a just world and self-esteem),which enriches the relevant theories of relative deprivation and altruistic behavior. In addition,a correct understanding of the sense of relative deprivation and a reasonable handling of the negative emotional experience brought about by the sense of relative deprivation are of great practical significance in promoting moral education and increasing altruistic behavior of college students. |
