| Badminton,as one of the sports with the highest participation of the Chinese people,has made important contributions in promoting national fitness and building a sports power.The mass badminton sport in Chengdu stands out among the cities in the country and is in the forefront of the country.It affects the development of mass badminton in western my country with a good development trend,and plays a strong radiating and leading role.Therefore,the development process of badminton in mass sports in Chengdu was sorted out by means of oral history,documentary materials,text analysis,and logical analysis,in order to summarize experience and enlighten the future.The study found that 1972 was the starting point for the rapid development of mass badminton in Chengdu and the beginning of the right track.From 1972 to the present,the development of mass badminton in Chengdu has gone through three stages: the stage of competitive leadership（1972-1992）,the stage of coordinated development（1993-2014）,and the stage of popularization and symbiosis（after 2015.Chengdu mass badminton）.The development of sports has obvious characteristics of the times in different stages.The competitive leadership stage shows two characteristics: competitive badminton leads the development of badminton for the masses;schools and factories are the entry points for the development of badminton for the masses.The coordinated development stage shows three characteristics: the masses The coordinated development of badminton and competitive badminton;the rapid development of sports is promoted by policies,and mass sports has entered the stage of legalization;the non-governmental forces voluntarily and consciously undertake the organization and promotion of badminton events.The stage of popularization and symbiosis shows two characteristics: the mass badminton sports in the main urban area of Chengdu Basic popularization;mass badminton and competitive badminton win each other,coexist and share.In order to deeply understand the connotation of mass badminton in Chengdu,grasp the historical changes,look at the development process of mass badminton in Chengdu,and summarize the overall evolution characteristics:（1）The relationship between mass sports and competitive sports has changed,which is manifested as a symbiosis from competition to popularization.（2）Organizational form of mass badminton,from "scattered" to "centralized".（3）The system structure of mass badminton in Chengdu is expressed from "single" to "system".（4）The people’s value orientation towards badminton is from "fitness" to "healthy mind".（5）The people’s sports awareness gradually changed from "weak" to "strong".（6）The management mode of mass badminton sports is changed from "government management" to "official guidance and social self-organization".By sorting out the development process and stage characteristics of mass badminton in Chengdu,and summarizing its historical experience,it mainly includes five points:（1）policies and regulations are the necessary prerequisites for the development of mass badminton in Chengdu;（2）the level of economic development is the The necessary foundation for the development of badminton;（3）The relationship between "official" and "civil organizations" is an important form of badminton development in Chengdu;（4）The quality of participating subjects is the internal driving force for the development of badminton in Chengdu;（5）Youth The amateur training has laid the foundation for the sustainable development of Chengdu mass badminton.Throughout the history of mass badminton development in Chengdu,mass badminton in Chengdu has played an exemplary and leading role in the process of leading the west to the whole country.However,there are still the following problems and deficiencies in the actual development of mass badminton in Chengdu:（1）The government’s control over the sports market is weak,and the badminton market is chaotic.（2）The standardization of mass events is insufficient,and the mass badminton event system is not perfect.（3）Some people have insufficient awareness of badminton.（4）Chengdu badminton halls have problems such as uneven distribution and non-compliance with government operating regulations.In view of the existing problems and deficiencies,suggestions are put forward:（1）consolidate the status of badminton in the national fitness movement;（2）use the event as a medium to create a business card for Chengdu badminton events;（3）use the event as a benchmark to increase the badminton population;（4）Collaborate with various parties to standardize the sports market;（5）Strengthen the construction of non-profit social organizations. |
