With the significant improvement of China’s economic strength, accompanied by increasingly tight resource and environmental constraints, the disadvantages of the traditional economic growth mode are prominent. In the context of high-quality development,it is particularly important to accelerate the transformation of green development and realize sustainable development.Green economic growth is a new development mode that takes into account economic growth and resources and environment. In order to achieve green growth,we need to explore new drivers of economic growth.Human capital is an important source of economic growth.Human capital structure not only plays a role in economic output, but also affects resource consumption and environmental constraints. With the gradual disappearance of "demographic dividend",China’s human capital structure is constantly changing, and the growth level of green economy has also changed. Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the role of changes in China’s human capital structure in green economic growth. From the perspective of human capital structure, this paper studies the impact of China’s advanced human capital structure on green economic growth.Firstly, systematically sort out the relevant theories and literature to lay the foundation for analysis.Secondly,it analyzes the current situation of China’s advanced human capital structure and green economic growth, and uses the vector angle method and Malmquist-Luenburger index to calculate the advanced level of human capital structure and green economic growth level respectively.Thirdly, the spatial Doberman model is constructed to test the effect of the upgrading of human capital structure on green economic growth.China is divided into three regions: the East, the middle and the west, and the impact effect is analyzed from the perspective of overall and regional heterogeneity. And further test the intermediary effect of technological innovation and industrial structure upgrading, and explore the role of the upgrading of human capital structure on green economic growth. Finally, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)the advanced level of China’s human capital structure is gradually improved. The advanced level of human capital structure in the eastern region is the highest, followed by the central region, and the western region is the lowest;(2)China’s overall green economic growth level increased steadily from 2002 to 2018,but the growth rate was relatively slow.In terms of regions, the eastern region has the highest level of green economic growth, followed by the western region, and the central region has the lowest level;(3)As for the whole country, whether for the local or adjacent areas, the upgrading of human capital structure can significantly promote the growth of green economy, but the regional performance is different;(4)Technological innovation and industrial structure upgrading are important ways for the upgrading of human capital structure to promote green economic growth. The uniqueness and possible innovations of this paper are as follows: first, from the perspective of human capital structure, this paper analyzes the impact of the upgrading of human capital structure on green economic growth, which enriches the relevant research on green economic growth;Second,in terms of measurement methods, based on the existence of spatial correlation of factors, this paper uses spatial Dobbin model for empirical analysis to explore the impact of the upgrading of human capital structure on the green economic growth of local and adjacent areas.
